Or I might as well title this post "who stole my cookie?" I've been working on my MAP for the past 2 years and applying dread for the past year and in 3 days I am giving my wife (whom we have a child together) my final decision as to whether to proceed to divorce her or not. She wants to reconcile. Yeah I don't have numerous OYSs, as I was reporting into Rian's community until he correctly Rule 9'ed me tf out a couple months ago.
In retrospect, my relationship with my wife was DOA. After playing with dynamite, I landed a "traditional" girl from the Middle East, she even dabbled in Christianity. She had the looks, the education and the "traditional values" that I would lament to her that her American counterparts lacked. You're special, not like these ditzy low moral bitches I've been dating. I was the bachelor who moved from one coast to the other and owned my own home (which I eventually asked for her to move into) - we were both 30, and she knew a piece of clay when she saw it.
After dating her for some time and abruptly cutting the date short because she was not reciprocating my advances, I texted her a month later, after she had entered my dreams. LoL really? I contacted her after DrEaMiNg about her, like some kind of fucken Roman aristocrat. We ended up dating for real and I threw down the "I Love You" first, I even emphasized the fact that I hadn't told that to any of the girls I've ever been with, like a true romantic. She couldn't even say it back to me and would constantly be questioning me about whether I "really loved her" when we would have the most unsatisfying starfish sex. It is never worth the wait. This childish idea that the nerd is a "freak in the sheets" is pure Hollywood fiction. We haven't had sex in 2 years now and FAPing is the only thing that keeps me from chasing a quick fuck. They call it Post Nut Clarity, I call it a way of preventing me from having to explain myself in future court proceedings.
The foreign girl will fall back on tradition only when it behooves her. The traditional aspect is just a creative angle to get an outcome she desires. For example, having the groom pay for the entire wedding, while ignoring the fact that back home, a prenuptial agreement where groom-takes-all is built into the system by default.
She pushed the timeline of getting married on me, but like a good beta I succumbed. I was so proud of myself in how elaborate and creative my proposal was. How she gushed about it and how I would beam when she recounted it. Today she wears her wedding ring, but oddly doesn't wear her engagement ring, which I take as some form of signaling distress or semi-availability. Now the only thing she talks about regarding my proposal is how I didn't get on me knee and prostrate myself, guess I had a lapse there..
When we met I was earning $35 hr. and she was earning $8 hr. At one point she was risking leaving the relationship to find a more lucrative career path elsewhere in the country, I worried and helped her find job training for her to enter a new field. Today she now makes as much as I do (close to $100K) and is on course to earning more than me next year. The only time she consistently lights up is when I recount stories of conquests at the job, whether facing down a manager or getting recognized.
To close, there was and never will be a Main Event, but I also understand that Dread is not about having your spouse satisfy covert contracts. Onto the next phase.
