Kids caught in the middle of legal fights is all kinds of wrong. I'm not a parent, so can't really say much on that aspect. But hang on for his sake!

Knowing You're out there caring about him is pretty powerful. If are able to make any contact, I'd recommend it. Legal issues involving custody are terrible as it is, but showing you are not abandoning him and want to see him is important. I'm sorry you're going through this right now.

As someone who was/is the son of a divorced couple, I might not be able to give you any legal advice, but I want you to know that I appreciate that you are trying to be there for him and wish you the best of luck with yout fight. Just try what you can to be there for him/in his life and be a good role model.

I moved heaven and earth to avoid court battles during my divorce and fortunately it was successful, it's such a shame when this happens. All I can say is I've seen this many times, I've seen what happens when fathers give up and I've seen what happens when they persevere. You cannot give up.
