Non AA/religious Groups in Reno?

Not familiar in particular with Reno, but check out both NAMI (national alliance on mental health) and BDSA (bipolar and depression support alliance). Both run peer groups nationwide (online and in person) and I bet there is one in Reno. I’ve gone to both and they really helped me. Oh and you can check out HeyPeers which has lots of groups as well. Also there is SMART Recovery which is a non AA/non religious recovery group that also helps people just get life together. Hope that helps and know your not alone. Oh one more thing check out the Gold N Silver Diner when you want a 24/7 dive diner. Seem to remember it being pretty good

In addition, you can check out the Man Kind Project for a local men's support group; either online or in person. The whole Man Kind Project can get rather involved including what they call "Warrior Weekends" but you don't have to do any of that if you don't want to. They host regular support meetings that I have found to be very helpful in many ways including friends, mentors, and encouragement. They are well organized, IMO, and are not AA/Religion based.

I did connect with a couple therapists, so I'm gonna meet a few and start there.
