The whole diamond industry is a scam. "Guaranteed to appraise for double" like that means anything at all. When you actually try to sell a diamond you find out what they're really worth, and it's not very much.

Depends entirely on the carots/clarity and so on and how they're valued, gemstones in general are not a reliable investment. Stick to precious metals if you want jewellery to keep their value ( Make sure they're hallmarked ) or buy investment bars with guaranteed purity, again look for hallmarks and make sure they're from a reputable reseller.
Boy it would be funny to lie to a gold digger though and claim a silver ring is actually platinum and a cheap Cz is a diamond, I would be laughing at the rage.

Although this is a good post, its title does not say enough about its subject. This forces people to click and read before they can decide whether they are interested. It also makes searching impossible.
If everyone did this, the subreddit would become unusable.
So please don't do it in future. Take the time to describe your link, and save the time of hundreds of other people.
When making a title, it's best to assume the reader doesn't know what you're talking about - but don't go overboard with every detail. Then check if there are any words you can cut out without losing any important information.
