I have turned feminist because I have grown up in a household where women had to handle most of the things and men were laid back. I have observed how my dad mistreated and abused my mom and so did his friends. This made me very much angry and devastated that I wanted to stand up for the women in my community (I come from an Asian country where women are expected to carry most of the duties). I will cut the long story but almost all men that I have dated and went out with turned out to be assholes who wanted sex and nothing more (rarely anything more). Please do change my mind. I do not want to hate men but understand their perspective and why they do what they do.
