So I looked at their rules on the side to see if this was actually their rule.

Equanimity: No drama-inducing crossposting of content found in other subreddits. Likewise, posts found to direct odious influxes here may be removed.

First off... "direct odious influxes" are you kidding me? Using fancy words doesn't make you smart. As Shakespeare said, "Brevity is the soul of wit." not "use your thesaurus at all times." So yeah, they put themselves pretty high on the pedestal

Secondly, and more to the actual point at hand, that rule is for posting to their subreddit. I even looked at their FAQ, and it says nothing about cross-posting from other subreddits. This sounds like one Mod who has let the power go to his or her head.

And lastly, as for the mod's reasoning, "We welcome anyone to join our discussions, we do not welcome linking to them." How the hell am I supposed to join the discussion if I'm not even aware of them? Are we not allow to promote YOUR subreddit?
