If he had written a straightforward piece about the crisis of intellectual corruption in academic publishing, it would have made little if any impact, if it had even gotten published at all. He sacrificed his career for the greater good.

His critics are tenured professors who insist on displaying their credentials but refuse to disclose their names because open debate might result in 'death threats'. But only to them. They are cowards. They want debate to be limited to the academic journals that they control. They are paid well to criticize others but cry foul when they are criticized. They are privileged professional victims who are paid to push their self-serving politics. It is they who are destroying their profession.
