Calling out sexism is only the first step.

To help solve men's rights issues, laws that discriminate against men and boys need to be changed and policies that incentivize discriminating against males need to be overturned. One person or a few people alone can't do that, you usually need institutional backing.

Right now despite how many people you may see subscribed to this sub or that comment, the amount of people willing to petition, get involved in men's rights organizations and that have the money and influence to fund initiatives for men's rights are all lacking. By the way that goes for many men's rights organizations too. Many of them are too caught up in current partisan politics or certain issues that have to do with culture to be able to address men's rights as a whole.

So what you are left with is people on subs like this constantly raising awareness but being unable to do anything about the issues they bring up.

Calling out sexism and double standards when they occur and doing so in a way people can't easily dismiss is good but it's not going to change the overall situation for men and boys.

Look for missing stats/incomplete statistic sets about men and boys on sites giving stats on DV, rape, assault, etc., particularly govt funded sites. Write to the organisers, pointing out the descrepancies with links to recent, valid research. Be polite but be firm, these omissions are sexist and present an imbalanced view. Don't neglect these missing stats even if they don't support your personal causes, the aim is to have all men's stats included by default.
Find out who you need to vote for to get better treatment for men in family court, etc., and vote for them. Write to your local and state candidates and ask what their views are and what they plan to do about the issues you care about. Pick one issue, for one letter, and focus on that. Encourage like minded friends to write, or add their names to your letter.
Be nice to ex-feminists. Be patient with them. They're basically coming out of a cult and have lost friends and their sphere of contacts they may have had for years. They may not shed all of feminism right away. It may help to research the professional recommendations for helping people leaving cults. Why? These are your future allies, don't run them off. Also, they're just people in need of support, and there's gonna be men in there as well.

Currently I am working on:

Producing guidelines for organisations with regards to the human rights of men and boys. See this video for an overview.
Ongoing engagement with the Human Rights Commission on men and boys human rights.

Here is what I have done previously:

Made a submission to the UN regarding New Zealand's human Rights issues for men and boys.
Numerous letters to varies government organisations and ministers about men's issues.
Submission to the government about men and boys for a family violence consultation.

I think it comes from the fact that we can't really do anything. People around us are brainwashed beyond belief and the femis have too much influence. Greater people than us have tried to advocate for men and failed. Cassie Jaye lost her career for example and Erin Pizzey had to literally flee her country. And all the other women are just called pick me's or whatever bullshit buzzword. And the men are called incels, rape apologists bla bla bla.

These are my thoughts. Don't how the rest of you guys feel.

List out actual steps we can take at our level to make this world a better place for us.

On that note, let's stop pretending that "men's problems" are somehow separate from the ills that afflict our nation overall. Talking here ills like a drug war that locks up several million Americans needlessly(a disproportionate number of whom happen to be men), poverty policies which keep people poor or/and stuck in barely-minimum wage work(even pre-COVID, fewer men were in the workforce than was the case at the end of The Great Depression. And still more lack the skills necessary to obtain upward mobility*), The White House currently being able to bypass Congress whenever they've got the hankering to engage in yet another ill-conceived military adventure(just so happens that men make up the majority of those killed in combat), a divorce and family court set-up which currently costs tax payers millions thanks to it's affinity for protracted litigation which frequently enough leaves kids fatherless and more susceptible to becoming gang bangers who terrorize our nation's streets, etc etc

As long as "men's issues" are nothing more than a niche hobby among a handful of content creators on YouTube, rather than national troubles than invite the attention and energies of every citizen who yearns to leave their descendants with a slightly saner planet than the one we inherited, we won't be seeing much improvement in our material circumstances

So, I joined this sub a week ago because I wanted to be in a space that advocates for men. Advocating for seeing men's pain as legitimate and validating our lived experiences.

I also wanted to be in a space that sees us taking responsibility for the things we can change in our own lives and encouraging others to do the same. I know a lot is out of our control, but that doesn't stop us from eating healthier, focusing on our mental health, and forming strong and caring bonds, etc.

In my own life, I spend my time reading about mental health, meditating, coaching. When it makes sense, I tell people what I do for my own healing, and I defend men who are called man babies, etc.

In the week I've been on this sub, I've been concerned. The narrative rarely seems productive, positive, constructive, or helpful. We're all allowed to approach this in our own way, but I'm frankly concerned we're losing our way. I'll give it another week, but I may have to peace out. Hoping there's something I'm missing.

Petitions for false rape/harassment/domestic violence accusations be punishable with prison, indemnity to the victims, public apology and lifetime RSO status.

The best and reliable petition site I know for experience is Care2.

Not every group needs to cover the whole ground. Political action in that area seems to be barely fruitful. I think groups around men's rights have mostly the role of being a point of contact and for sharing information.

Men can do a lot of things to protect themselves and create pressure on society. Though, these are not so much in the area of politics and argumentation, but in learning how not to comply, not to participate, not support, and also in protecting oneself by avoiding to much engagement.

Avoiding long term relationships, and more in general walking away from society, while having at least online spaces where we can push back against being shamed for doing so or for using porn, lovedolls, etc, while focusing on hobbies and entertainment. Women want attention, want ressources, want us to solve (their) problems, want us to pay for infrastructure that is geared towards them ... So the power is in not doing any of that, or at least limiting it as much as possible while maybe even working on making it easier and more pleasant behaving that way for other men.

A lot of channels on YouTube work fine promoting things like that. It's much more successful than trying to get organized politically. There are already many solutions for various areas of life. Such headless trends are also harder to stop than organizations which can be derailed in many ways. Refusing to do something is a problem that's difficult for even a very authoritarian society to deal with. Chinas current mortgage payment refusal or "lying flat" might be a good example. Men becoming more likely to avoid college, not getting married to certain women, people generally not watching bad remakes of franchises are other good examples.
