I was 20 a couple of years ago and that's around the time I probably started making changes in my life.

Focus on your academics and your work. No matter how the system is, if you work harder than most people you will still do quite well, thinking it's completely rigged against you doing well is similar to feminists' crying.
- Make a notesheet including every subject that you have. For eg. CSE 124, Phys 151 etc. Turn on a timer for 1 hour and try your best to study as much you can. It's okay to take breaks in the beginning and I would also suggesting listening to some music to get you in the mood, as time goes by you'll make most of that 1 hour.
  - Remember, you're much smarter than you think you are. Don't worry about the results, just be happy that you put in 1 hour of effort.
  - For logical subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science etc. start as early as posible and focus on understanding the concept as much as possible, look at alternate sources and what not. You can just memorize everything here. Don't worry if you can't understand or solve something, try your best for 10-20 minutes then mark it and move forward, do it later.
  - For memorization based subjects, try to cover the course as fast as possible, take notes of things you find interesting. Don't worry about not memorizing, try to get in as many revision as possible.
  - When you study something for the first time expect to undertand around 20%, second time 40% and so on. A lot of these subjects are tough for everyone, especially in logical subjects, if you're studying something for the first time you feel like an idiot, once you master it you feel like a god.
- This strategy helped me quite a lot, I was struggling in my university taking one of the hardest majors out there, getting a couple of Bs and a C I thought as the courses would get tough I won't be be able to cope. To my surprise, I was able to get a lot of As and A+s in most of the toughest upper division courses.
- While affirmative action unfortunately does affect us badly, if you excel quite a lot it does not matter that much.
Apart from that focus on your health, try taking out at least 30-60 minutes for exercise 3-6 days a week. It's not a waste of time and it'll help improve your self-esteem and make you feel more mentally frsh.
- Do all types of exercises, focus more on functionality rather than just aesthetics or raw numbers in the gym.
- I do tons of full body stretches, bodyweight exercises (pull ups, handstand pushups etc.), long distance runs, and tons of sprinting.
- Clean up your diet. Stop drinking soft drinks and eating junk. A treat once in a while is good and might be good for your body too. However, try to eat more protein, plenty of meat, and a vareity of vegetables and drink tons of water.
- You'll be surprised to see that you don't even have to work out quite a lot to remain lean and athletic if your diet is clean. I would say fitness is 80%

At 20-21, I was a complete monster, working out 1-2 hours daily as well as studying 10-12 hours daily. I achieved things I never thought was possible. However, recently finally I got burned out and depressed by the tech recession and pretty much reverted everything. Lost al my muscle mass, ruined my skin, and also become lazy with my academics, I'm still doing well but only by studying all day long few days before exams.

Don't get married. The restraining order cost me over 36k and it still failed, the divorce itself is now up to 21k and that doesn't include what I have to pay out to her in support and dividing retirement funds.

Positive advice is live/work in a state with no common law marriage. Missouri is one for sure. My friends were together 13 years before tying the knot.

I'm still as young as you, but my brother told me that they'll bark at anything you achieve. Ignore them. Focus on improving yourself.

I recommend buying a voice recorder that looks like a usb key that you keep in your pant pocket. You just need to put your hand in your pocket and flip a tiny switch on the usb recorder to voice record a teacher, a counselor, a coach, doctor or nurse, sonographer, who is being creepy. This will give you evidence for when you file a complaint and will help protect you because once you report a male or female sex predator, the predator will counter accuse you as being the instigator. Be safe.
