I stopped participating in Wikipedia a long time ago. The whole point of a wiki is that it is easy to dip in and improve things. Wikipedia ceased to match that description a long time ago, these days, it's a bunch of fiefdoms enforced by an immense bureaucracy.

The Good Men Project has little to do with the Mens Rights Movement -in that- very few of the contributors and none of the founders have had anything to do with the MRM's birth or proliferation. Many of the actors behind the scenes at the GMP, beyond focusing on profit, share (strongly) their beliefs with Feminism, or worse.

The Men's Rights Movement, -the elements of the movement that have been around for over a decade, in good faith, gave TGMP every conceivable chance to "At least tell both sides". The initial offering and resulting "Talking down" to the MRM showed all seasoned MRA's exactly what the TGMP was.

It is a Widely cast trolling net attempting to intercept Main Stream MEdia attention of the rumbling the MRM is causing in society and turning it into a profit engine of clicks and vapid feminist apologist articles. They are a weak diluted Jezebel. They think "diluting" the base message is the same as compromising with MRAs.

Wrap this in the occasional "male positive" controversial opinion piece that could have easily come out of the advice column over at CNN and they tend to trick individuals like you into thinking that's what the "MRM" is about.

As for Wikipedia, Wikipedia has an unwritten policy of not allowing the MRM or MRA's to edit or write the articles concerning Men's Rights. The last editor to the Mens Rights entry on Wikipedia was written then locked by a self labeled feminist. You can track this in the discussions tab.

They defer to backhanded censorship by stating "there aren't enough sources" when if you click on any Feminist connected page there are plenty of [citation needed]. The history of the MRM isn't directly documented but most MRA's who lived through it will agree.

Elements who are active in the wikipedia sphere of influence don't care to mischaracterize Mens Rights on wikipedia, they merely want to keep it "old and bland" - unupdated, and more a dictionary entry than en encyclopedic volume. I suspect they realize the ability to "link to a wikipedia article" gives the MRM more legitimacy than possible.

I, myself, have tried to edit the Wiki articles with a very old account and they lock me out citing it is defacing the page or some shit.

Any entry that is critical of Feminism (as cause of MRM) gets summarily censored - not because of the pulpit issue, but because it comes with sources.

TGMP is not evil incarnate. It is American identity in microcosm. The good (what little is left) and the evil. Women are worshiped and men are defined by their utility to the state and to women.

TGMP is just like everyplace else (except for here). No better, no worse.

Wikipedia, on the other hand, is significantly more man-hating, bigoted, and sexist than the median American culture.
