While there's quite a few good Wikipedia articles concerning men's issues, there's plenty of obvious absences, not to mention articles of poor quality or short on detail.

A lot of editors tend to focus on the key men's rights articles - i.e "men's rights movement", "false allegations of rape", "circumcision" etc, yet it can be difficult to edit these due to powerful feminist activists hogging such pages and they're certainly no starting point for an inexperienced editor.

I want to get more people involved in either getting into Wikipedia or improving (or taking advantage of) their existing Wikipedia skills and I'm therefore suggesting people work on either brand new articles or neglected ones. For example a notable case of a false rape allegation, a notable case of domesitc violence against men (or boys) etc.

I have a bunch of coins I've been awarded that I've never spent, so I'll be awarding Reddit Gold to the first six people who create such articles of at least 15,000 bytes in length. Alternatively if one particularly productive editor makes four articles they can have Reddit platinum (leaving two gold awards for others). Participants should be active in the mensrights sub so we know you're not a troll / time waster. Note - I did not give any money to Reddit to gain these coins and such they are ethically sourced - Reddit will not profit from this exercise (please don't buy Reddit coins)

I know my way around Wikipedia reasonably well and should be able to think up all kinds of missing article ideas. People are also welcome to pm me with article ideas and I can tell you if i think they're sufficiently notable to be on Wikipedia.

Tip - be sure to think of what makes the case notable and make sure those facts are stated and emphasised clearly both in the body of the article and in its lede (all sourced to reliable sources).

All articles and edits must of course be completely within Wikipedia rules and guidelines, for example fully using reliable sources. Similarly, this is not activist editing of Wikipedia - articles should be written from a neutral point of view.

It's actually best to keep discussion on this topic to an absolute minimum here on Reddit to avoid the trolls sabotaging your work, so just pm me instead!
