I just want to be real with you first, if being on this sub is fostering a paranoia you might need to walk away for a time and/or find places with ideas and opinions that contradict it. Don't let yourself become radicalized, its easier then you think.

Now I need you to ask yourself a very important question. Why do I want a committed relationship? Really contemplate this. While you think please continue.

The best and easiest way to figure out if a woman has any red flag is to set standards and boundaries for what you want and communicate them. A reasonable person will listen and consider these. If she outright rejects the idea, walk away. Even lacking in social skills you need to learn to communicate this.

I recommend you sit and really think about what you want, what your expecting now and what you are expecting down the road with a partner. Wright it out on a document and read through it to make sure your not asking for too much. Also figure out what your willing to bend on and what are your red lines. This is a skill, one I wish I was better at when I was younger.

The most basic thing is to see how they treat others. What does she say about past boyfriends? Does she talk badly of people in general? How does she treat people she doesn't like and more pointedly people she thinks, for whatever reason, are beneath her? (Anyone can be nice to people they like, the telling characteristic is how they treat others.)

Also, do her opinions change with her moods? How much?

Are her parents still together? What does she say about her dad?

Given the carelessness with which people use social media, it should not be difficult to find these things out.

Second most basic thing is the company she keeps. Who does she hang out with? What do they say when they think no one is listening?

Does she have any interests or skills? The lack thereof indicates a lack of discipline and a disinterest in doing anything that requires effort. Does she talk about anything other than relationships, movies, social media, fashion etc.? An obsession with these things, and only these things, indicates solipsism.

Beyond that, there are ways of protecting yourself. Recording, keeping texts, holding conversations in front of friends etc are all possible but all require and indicate a certain level of paranoia (except perhaps the keeping of texts, screenshots etc.)

More reliable is coming across as someone not to be messed with. This does not mean going round throwing your weight about, it means developing an inner confidence. This will take time but it can be done. Don't show weakness in front of her, do that in confidential groups or anonymously on the Net.

Know when to walk away and do it.

Avoid feminists.

If you are looking for guarantees for the future, I think you're going to be disappointed.

You can marry a good woman, then after years of watching Oprah, she suddenly decide she does not want to be married anymore. I know of a friend who's wife fell in with a feminist social worker and surprise surprise, divorce ensued. She's still a very descent sort, but she fell in with the wrong friends.

So you throws the dice and take you best shot. You can do everything right and still lose. And half the men who get married do lose.
