Whenever I see crappy, misandric ads like this one, the Amy Schumer Bud light ad and Australia's execrable "all boys are evil" domestic violence ads, it makes me think about whether we should be actively to hurt these companies in the hip pocket.

I'd be willing to build a website to highlight misandrist advertising and call for a boycott of the offending companies, if there's sufficient interest in the idea.

To work, it would need people willing to send in crappy ads (because I probably won't see anything from outside Australia) to feature on the site, and it would need people willing to share stories from the site on social media to spread the word.

What do you think: good idea or not? Would you support it?

Please let me know your thoughts, including whether I should pursue this or not.

I hope everybody here saw the downvotes on that youtube video. This commercial may be shit but at least it's not just MRAs who think so. Bud Light had to disable comments and votes on their wage gap commercial last year after the negative reaction, let's see if Audi has to do the same

One of the most cringeworthy ads I've seen for a while (though I hardly watch FTA TV so I haven't much to go by).

Paradoxically, perhaps the best adverts for cars ever created were done for VW 50 years ago.

It's kind of ironic though considering they are using "racing" to make their point. Racing is, and has historically, been male dominated. Not because of gender discrimination or size differences(which wouldn't matter in a car), but because it's a dangerous form of competition where people(men) actually die(often in horribly gruesome ways). The reason why racing is so male dominated is specifically because people care less about the idea of men dying and burning, or just doing dangerous thing for viewer entertainment.

That father probably wouldn't want to see his daughter(which actually seems like a pretty dangerous and reckless driver) racing because the idea of seeing her hurt would be far harder to stomach than the idea of his son being hurt.

There are fewer women than men in racing, despite the fact that women are just as physically able to race as men, because there are fewer women who actually want to face the risk or compete in those settings. They are literally using a perfect example of how women are valued over men, to argue the opposite.
