Feminists do not want equality, they want superiority without having to do any extra work to acquire it.

Nothing less than equality for women and nothing more than equality for men.
[–]Fuarian 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
By definition, They do. By visible proof, all they want is superiority.

I wish there was a all-female republic so all man hating feminists could be told to go there instead of screwing it up for the rest of us.

It would be a horrible place. No infrastructure. And it would eventually be full of men who the inhabitants would hire to do all the dirty work.

Couldn't have said that better, myself.

Such a place would hastily become a 3rd world country populated by bickering, infighting, lonely, crazy cat ladies.

Corporate environments seem to attract a lot of women. I'm the only guy in my department. And on my floor I believe it's 3 or 4 to 1 women to men.

I guess that's why I fit in. Though I wish I wasn't so lazy.

My fiancee works at Massively female dominated law firm and rails on how miserable it is because they all hate each other. There is no substantive male energy to balance the female vindictiveness.

My SO is a pediatrician. She has her own office, so she has a lot of control over the clientele. Unfortunately we live in a really liberal area, so there are tons of ant-vaxxers and self made 'experts.' According to her the number one cause of stress that she has are the combative women. It's gotten bad enough that, in general, she treats appointment number one as an interview to determine whether she wants to work with the patients parent. The anti-vaxxers, internet expert mommies, and belligerents that fail the 'interview' get fired as customers. She's pretty good, and has a long enough waiting list that she can afford to be choosy.
I just asked if she has any single dads or stay at home dad types, and how they compare. Her point was interesting. She said they tend to be easier to deal with just because they already have the mindset that a woman, and therefore she, is a caregiver for children.
There is no substantive male energy to balance the female vindictiveness.
Go look at modern higher academia if you really want to see the results of this.

That company won't last long.
& if/when they fail, they'll just blame the "Patriarchy," for, like, "not helping them," or something.

we have a support division at my company that's almost all females. it's extremely metrics driven and everything is tracked like crazy, including client satisfaction, time-to-completion, call-completion, etc. calls are routed randomly to whoever is available, so it's not even like they're picking off the easy cases. despite there only being a few males, literally all the top metrics are held by males.

Reminds me of this:

True equality is having only white women run your organizations!
[–]moepengy 1 point2 points3 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Barring men from joining a meeting is wrong which is what it seems to be implying. However, it could easily be that the women of the company simply outrank the men in the company and that's why they're not in the room. Arguably it has been the reverse for women for decades in many cooperate offices (Women making up a minority and not being part of decision making) , which have been for the longest time made up, by majority, men. Does a company regardless of market (Law, Medicine, Fashion, Manufacturing etc.) Need to have an even split of gender? Would having a company with a 50:50 gender split just for the sake of diversity be fair? To me it makes sense some companies have more women than men. And others more men than women, it's all about their job preferences.
Edit: Clarification
[–]Flockswithflames 4 points5 points6 points 9 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
How about people need to quit focusing on gender so hard and hire good workers. Everything is fucked now.
[–]moepengy 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
If that should be, why did op post this? Why draw attention to the gender disparity in this company? If gender didn't matter to the poster this post wouldn't exist at all.
Edit: A few words

I was directing that at the end of your comment.

Switch the genders, & then they'd just get sued, ha.:\

I wish them well. I suspect, however, that at some point this female-dominated outfit will - like every other private or public sector organisation before it - devolve into factions and internal political shitfights. Like most men, most women are humans, and humans (like all apes) are social beings and all are clannish. Individuals form alliances (even if temporary ones) in pursuit of some advantage.
I suspect that the woman who posted this either has no experience in female-dominated workplaces, or they've chosen to ignore it.

The company my mother OWNED had only 3 men... there were only 4 workers under her, but thats not the point.
