Can someone help me solve this argument (see details at bottom)? My friend thinks it's possible to sue a male victim if a female r*pist gets pregnant, without any consequences but I think it is. I can't make any logic.

Happened in Arizona, a 20 year old woman raped a 14 year old boy (under 15 years old is statutory rape no matter what), then got his child. When the boy turned 18, she sued him for child support, AND SHE WON!!!

He, the rape victim, was ordered to pay $15k for back child support and medical bills going back to the child's birth, plus 10 percent interest. The state seized money from his bank account and is garnisheeing his wages at $380 a month.

And she hasn't be bothered by the police one bit...

What you're missing is that the laws against rape and the laws mandating that fathers pay child support are separate and are enforced independently of each other.

So if a girl rapes a guy and becomes pregnant:

.1) she might be arrested, charged and prosecuted for rape (though many police still do not take male rape victims seriously and they might just laugh at him when he tries to report the crime)

and

.2) after the child is born and she names him as the father, a court will rule that he must pay financial support for his child.

It does not matter for 2) that the mother is a rapist and the father is a rape victim. All that matters is that he's the biological father of the child. There have been numerous court cases about scenarios exactly like this which confirmed this decision and set legal precedent.

There have also been other court cases which confirmed that the circumstances leading up to the pregnancy are completely irrelevant to the father's obligation to pay child support. For example:

A woman went to the fertility clinic where her ex-husband's sperm was stored and forged his signature on a document (i.e. the crime of fraud) to retrieve his sperm, used it to impregnate herself and had two (2!!) children without his knowledge. A court later ruled that he must pay child support for them.
A woman retrieved her male casual sex partner's used condom from a trash bin in his bathroom (i.e. the crime of theft) and used his semen to impregnate herself. Though she ultimately did not have the child in the end, a court ruled that if she did he would be liable for child support.

And consider this:

If a man removes a condom during sex it's called "stealthing" and is a crime he can be jailed for. His actions have put her at risk of becoming pregnant, thereby violating her right to consent to becoming a parent, even though she would still have options like the morning after pill, abortion and adoption available to her to avoid that scenario.
If a woman lies about being on birth control, sabotages a condom with a pin or takes another equivalent action aimed at becoming pregnant without her male partner's consent, there isn't even a term for that behavior because it's not considered to be a crime. Many people don't even see it as morally wrong. If he complains about what she's done to him, he'll be told to simply shut up. And if she becomes pregnant through her actions, she can force him to pay child support for 18 years.

This is what male disposability looks like: his right to freedom and to determine his own future is subordinated to her choices and whims, even if she commits a serious crime against him. Her wishes and preferences matter, he simply does not.

For 1 and 2, the penetrated party did consent so rape won't be considered.
For 3, there will be a backlog of unpaid cs on his doorstep the day he turns 18 which gives him a month or 2 to pay or jail.

If your rapist gets pregnant, you owe child support. Period.

Nothing you can do about it.

If you are under age (say...11) when your adult rapist gets pregnant, then you still owe, but it accrues (with interest) until you turn 18. Then you owe it all.

if your female rapist gets pregnant..

she gets child support from you,

if she's under 18 you also go to jail for statutory rape even though you were raped because it's by statute (google it, there are cases where men who were raped by force by a minor were also charged wiht stat rape)

After Hermesmann v Seyer set the precedent, courts around the country have decided that male victims of women owe the perpetrators child support for decades, while other precedents and laws generally allow female victims many options to get rid of the product of their rapes.

There are many others out there. I do not believe there has yet been a single case where a boy or man has gotten out of paying child support to an adult woman that statutory raped, raped, sperm jacked, etc.

The good news is that in recent years feminist lobbiests have pushed for laws to prevent rapists from getting child custody. Without custody the child wouldn't be raised by a rapist and the victim wouldn't owe child support. So the day that a male doesn't owe his perpetrator may be coming soon. The less good news is that just over half the states that passed these laws passed them as the feminist lobbiests proposed them - only preventing rapist fathers from getting custody.

First off, in almost every country with a r£pe law men are excluded from the ability to be victims by said laws. So, if a woman gets pregnant by having sex with a male against his will, she has not met the legal definition of r£pe.

Now that this is out of the way I hate to break it to you but your friend is right. A man can indeed be held liable for a child that is his regardless of how the child was conceived.

In the US the man is ALWAYS responsible financially. Unlike women, male victims aren't entitled to legal protection from the consequences of a sexual assault.

If consensual s€x where a woman tricks a man into getting her pregnant by lying about birth control use or just insemination using a discarded condom doesn't protect a man from having to pay child support, why would the fact that the child was conceived via a r£pe protect him?
