So this is a big can of worms and men get a bad rep because we say this and it’s taken as “oh they just don’t want to fork up the money.”

Here are some things about child support.

It’s never enough money. In today’s current economy both parents need to work in the average household to break the 6 figure mark. When child support is allocated it declines the paying parties an opportunity to move on from the relationship and rebuild their own lives while simultaneously taking care of their own child in their own dime. Hence, 50-50 Shared parenting time.

Single women earn 10% more on average than women with children, and even a staggering amount of men. Shared parenting offers moms the chance to return to chasing a career for better opportunities for their children.

It offers Fathers a chance to be engaged and promotes bonding. I don’t need to talk about how shitty the “Tender Years” were. Alienating an entire generation of fathers for the sake of money was disgusting and there’s an entire generation of dads that should take the government to court for it. But good luck with that.

I think if you don’t want to be an involved father then pay up. But if you want to be there and you always have been then there’s no question of 50-50.

I have no problem with child support as long as the money goes EXCLUSIVELY to the expenses of the child, the problem is that what we call "Child Support" is basically Alimony 2.0.

I don't support child support. If you want custody of your kids, you should be fully responsible for your child. Simple as that.

I will NEVER support child support as it is right now. I have a child of my own. I am involved father and go an extra mile to ensure my kid will succeed in life. However, I don't support and refuse to support legal justice system in chasing and criminalizing men for refusing to take the role of a "father".

Anyone who supports it literally humiliates me and all other men who are and want to be fathers. A father is not a wallet - yet the system and women make them as such. With about 300,000 of court-mandated DNA tests initiated by women each year, it's clear that none of these men want to be fathers and it's also clear you cannot force any single man to be a father - what you can do is extort and criminalize or even put a guy behind the bars because he cannot be or refuses to be, a wallet.

Mandatory DNA testing is yet another topic. Our system criminalizes and tries to stop men from establishing genetic paternity with a reasonable certainty - but these days are long gone for sizable proportion of men, as more than 1 million paternity tests being done anonymously are making a big change in bastardized US society. Sadly, it's mainly among wealthy and affluent, where it became de-facto standard by now (i.e. rich Jewish communities, upper class Whites and so on), while it's either not affordable enough or not practiced at all among working class and especially among (poor) Black community.
Keep in mind that less than 4 million children are born in US lately (and shrinking), while the number of tests are constantly growing each year.

As an individual who did the DNA test myself, although I didn't have any reason to suspect paternity of my child, I will never understand any sane man who wants to be a father himself who also opposes routine DNA tests being done upon birth (just siring a child doesn't make you one), without any shame or legal obstructions that literally make all guys like me to just keep mum and do it on our own in the following week once the baby is home.

It's literally stupid to even discuss the last topic that merges these two - child support extortion over a child that someone was duped with, especially when that guy also knows this and wants to stop it. It should be a major felony, a criminal offense with a long prison sentence, along with a legal mechanism to pay everything back with interest rates, including the emotional damages, not just the financial expenses.
