Without the foreskin, the head of the penis and inner foreskin dry out. A layer of keratin and possible scar tissue forms on the skin to keep the mucousal tissue from getting damaged, so sensitivity is lost. The frenulum is often removed along with the thousands of nerve endings in the rest of the foreskin. The foreskin has more nerve endings than the female clitoris.

There are many problems with infant circumcision: 1) no consent 2) cutting the genitals off of a newborn 3) tight skin leads to the scrotum and hair being drawn up the shaft later in life (and painful erections are possible) 4) without this gliding skin, sex without lubricant is painful for both the male and female 5) surgery complications can lead to ugly scars and cysts 6) sexual dysfunction and lack of pleasure that goes unnoticed my most cut guys, simply because they don’t know the difference and think they just have ED 7) the double standard that female circumcision is widely illegal but male is encouraged

Also, there is a ton of misinformation: “It’s just skin”, but so is the labia, the clitoral hood (which is the same as the male foreskin). It is not cleaner, the microbes on the penis are essential to healthy genitalia, just as a vagina has a healthy bacterial balance. Penile cancer is extremely rare in both intact and cut men. Phimosis can be cured by stretching. The foreskin is fused to the glans at birth, so there is no additional cleaning necessary; however, cutting the tip of the penis off and then sitting in a shitty diaper can easily lead to infection. The HIV study was done in Ghana where AIDS is extremely prevalent; in the USA, we are much better educated about hygiene and protection, so cutting off the foreskin is useless.
