When it comes to rape for BOTH genders one is more likely to be raped by someone they know than by a stranger. So really there is no defense against this other than when being attack the best thing you can do is physically defend your self and if others are around yell.

On assault (men are more like to be assaulted more than women are this is a fact by the way), there isn't much one can do other than be cautious of your surroundings. Look for any people eyeing or watching you. Best to keep to keep to areas where people are about as much as possible. If attacked best option is to flee if possible, if not then do what you can to defend your self.

MRAs are useless at giving these tips because most rapes and sexual assaults do not happen under the circumstances mra's imagine that they do.

Plus, do you really want men going around looking at everyone as potential rapists? Because thats what these tips encourage women to do.

Remain in control of yourself and your surroundings. Refrain from using drugs or alcohol in public, and surround yourself with people you know the character of.

Don't tease, lead on or otherwise insinuate interest where there is none, and don't reciprocate petty flirting if you have no interest.

Don't insult people. Don't walk around in the wrong places. Don't walk around at the wrong time (late). Avoid drug addicts. Don't wear a miniskirt (applies to women also). ect ect of common sense.
