The problem is that we have way way wayyyyy to loose a definition of rape. True, by the current definition of rape, there are men being raped left and right. If you're drunk and you have sex with your girlfriend that's technically rape, because you aren't able to give consent if you're impaired. In fact, you both raped eachother.

See the problem here? True, it's an example of an institutional bias against men. But the problem is larger than sexism. The problem is government micro-managing our sexual decisions.

Nearly every problem talked about in MR is actually a problem of government. Get the government out.

*No more family courts - Government family planning

*No more government schools that teach hate against men

*No more government deciding who gets to have reproductive rights

*No more government telling you who you have to hire and how you can run a business

*No more government giving goodies to women but not men

*And if you're Canadian / European - No more government policing speach so that men's issues are "hate crimes/thought crimes"

Technically women cannot rape men anyway because rape is a penetrative act.

That and all this hysteria about men raping women no doubt makes it easier for women to force others to have sex and yeah, the treat of a false accusation will shut a man up, I've heard of female rapists using it.

/u/SpecialFester is correct that the definition for rape is too broad, but simutaniously it's too narrow. We never hear about men getting raped in the mainstream media because, legally speaking, the rapist must penitrate the victim, by definition. This means straddling an unconscious man and sticking his penis into one's oriface is, legally speaking, not rape, but rather just sexual assault.

Indeed, if being forced to penetrate against one's wishes were legally considered rape, there would be far more men raped than currently recorded (source is that CDC article that /r/MensRights likes to show off about once a week that I can't find on my phone; I'll cite it later).
