It's not all women who feel this way. I know some women who believe they should be forced to as well, or that men shouldn't be. I personally don't think anybody should be.

There are some arguments you could make for having men only in war (they are stronger, women get pregnant). However, if men have obvious social disadvantages then clearly we can't try to make everything else equal without making men worse off. Because of this most feminists either say that there should never be a draft, or say they haven't thought about it enough.

The no-one should be drafted argument is not really valid, because there have been wars in history (WWII) which countries needed to fight, and there may be such a war again. Men also end up doing large amounts of the other dangerous physical work that society demands, and this explains a large part of the wage gap. Also, feminists love complaining about how disadvantaged women were in the past while ignoring the fact that men were forced to die for their country.

There is no draft in the USA, only the Selective Service in the event a draft returns.

I agree however, that either everyone should have to sign up for it, who is healthy and the right age, or nobody should.

The feminist argument will be "well only MEN cause wars, women never do". Ergo, men should pay for the stupid choices that all the men in government make. (Of course, they totally ignore the women in congress who support war and the possibility of a female president going to war)

I'm not saying I agree with that statement; it's pretty stupid and only true in a purely historical sense where men were kings (except for all the queens in history who have decided to go attack other countries).

First of all, it should be worth mentioning that the draft (or selective service act, whichever you want to call it) is largely obsolete at this point in time, at least for the way wars are currently fought. Everything has become highly technical in warfare, requiring not so much large standing armies, but highly specialized units. It’s the reason that although China has a larger numerical military than the U.S., there is no imminent threat of China gaining military superiority over the U.S. Should the need ever arise for the draft to be reinstated, I would estimate we’re already fairly well screwed. Also, it is so easy to disqualify yourself from military service eligibility through medical and mental means it’s retarded, so even if you were drafted, if you had half a brain you could get out of it.

As for why feminism hasn’t fought to remove this “inequality,” you first need to understand the feminist institution’s goals. I’m talking about the institution, not individual feminists. Feminism, at its core, is advocacy for the advancement of women’s rights and privileges. Women’s rights and privileges. Since its inception, feminism has been, at its core, all about the womenz. It’s not surprising in the least, or that unexpected. Hell, just look at the name: feminism, a gendered term representing women. It is for this reason that feminism will never advocate for something like a universal draft because it removes some of women’s freedoms, just as feminism will never advocate for men’s rights if it is detrimental in the slightest to women. It’s just not the game they are playing. You may be angered by this, wondering why feminism isn’t helping you as a man, and the answer is simply that they are not meant to help you. The MRM is there for men’s rights, it is there to address the inequities males face in the system and society, and you won’t ever see the MRM advocating for something that is generally harmful to the male gender as a whole, as including women in the draft would be for females.
