Today we watched a film in my high school French class. It was a documentary about females in underdeveloped countries. I found the documentary to be very informative and i was sad at many parts of it, discussing how women are forced into being prostitutes at a young age. Most of this I already knew though. And it got me wondering, what is the life like in underdeveloped countries for men? Yes, they have more rights than women do, but what are their lives like? How are there work conditions? I would assume that they have horrible work conditions, they are paid little, no union, hostile and dangerous work environments. However, I don't know, I was never taught this in school, I learnt the women have bad lives, so am I supposed to assume that the men live great ones? I find that difficult to believe. Let me stress that this is not an anti-feminist statement at all, I simply wish the education system would tell the whole story instead of the female half.

tl;dr: Schools don't provide information about men's lives in underdeveloped countries whereas they do tell about women's.
