This really gets me. I got into a discussion a while back, and the topic of false accusations came up. It wasn't even about false rape, just false accusations in general.

One of the guys i was talking to couldnt see the big deal after all, " they can just get on with their life now right?"

I was completely and utterly flabbergasted. I mean how could he not see that false accusation or not their life would be damaged by a minor accusation like petty theft and completely destroyed by a major one like rape.
