This is the "bystander theory". They are going to train and encourage people to act like vigilante thugs, hilarious only for the the fact innocent people will likely be lunched, injured and killed.

Are they literally treating rape as some sort of illness men have? It's sickening how the attitude of rape has changed to all men want to rape someone at every waking hour of their lives so we need programs to fix their diseases and re-integrate them back into society... It's like were animals.

The idea behind bystander intervention is a simple one: if you see a rape about to happen, stop it - dont assume that someone else will or dismiss it as "not your problem".

As long as the class hits the following points, im okay with it:

Most people have no desire to rape
Not all rapists are men
Not all rape victims are women
Crimes can be prevented/avoided by the people who would be victims, rape is no exception.

As long as the class is not sexist, recognizing victims and perpetrators of both genders, I think this could be a good thing.
