she cooked him lunch and gave him three beers. The pair kissed despite the young boy repeatedly telling her: “I can’t, I can’t”.

the boy was “scared to end contact with the offender because he knew the offender was depressed and was worried she would self-harm”

He attempted to break off communication in April last year by telling her his phone credit use was too high.

When their interactions became too much, the boy told several of his school friends “because he needed to tell someone” and “wanted it to stop”.

She already showed that she will persist even after being given warnings, even after the boy tells her he doesn't want to, and--if she gets a slap on the wrist--will likely persist after that. This is a sexual predator who will evidently continue to prey on emotionally and, in this case, mentally vulnerable boys until she's locked away

That bullshit house arrest or community service or suspended sentence or a few months in jail will not be sufficient for this type of person. If there's any justice at all, she needs at least a decade in jail and life on the registry, or she's going to right back to it like she keeps doing

It's good that he reported her and hopefully it's not for nothing, like it so often is with these women. Hopefully the judge recognizes how much psychological damage this woman clearly caused this boy. But I wouldn't be surprised if it gives her a pass on the basis of her having depression

I was listening to a report on the radio earlier today about this case. Aside from the fact that she (the teacher) appears to have an established record in what might euphemistically be called "professional misconduct" (given that, why was she still even employed?), the most unsettling aspect was her habit of picking on boys who had mental health problems (which in the latter case became much worse due to her involvement).

I have friends (female and male) who are teachers, and they have (privately) expressed concern about the inconsistent screening of female candidates for teaching positions. This is not to suggest that all female teachers are sexual predators, simply that female candidates need to be screened and monitored as proficiently as males. And it seems to me that that isn't the case.

Criminal sexual conduct. Ridiculous.

Where I live it's called Sexual exploitation of a minor.

I don't mind these titles because it can cover more sexual offenses than just envelopment as long as the female sex offender is severely punished.

Is that what she was charged with? I read through the article and at the end it said she would be sentenced at a later date.. but didn't mention what charges she might be facing.

Depends on the state. Matters little. "Statutory rape" or "Criminal sexual conduct with a minor." Different terms, not much difference in meaning.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

True.. but there's a difference between "carnal knowledge of a minor" and something like.. idk, "sexual contact with a minor".. iANAL and I know those aren't the correctly terminology but you get what I'm saying right? Each state has different charges for the levels of contact (PIV intercourse, oral sex, sexting, etc etc)..

The reason I was curious is because they do affect the sentencing (to a minor extent) .. And in many (if not most) of these cases, they offer these women plea bargains that lower the charges to a minor one. They'll also give them suspended sentences too!

Yes, it depends on the state.

For those non-Australians reading the article, bear in mind that these events took place at Sydney Grammar School, which has a long reputation as one of the poshest, most expensive and most exclusive boys' schools in the country. You would imagine, then, that candidates applying for teaching positions would be subject to intense and minute scrutiny. Meanwhile, out in the western suburbs of Sydney (or Melbourne, or Brisbane) at Scrotes Creek High Skool ...

Yes, but what about his penetration experience? That's what it really comes down to, isn't it? /s

Poor little bastard attempted suicide. That's how "unwanted" this "contact" was.

What a disgusting person.

A few days ago, one of our posts made it to r/all .. and like usual when that happens, we had a bunch of casual feminists here defending the feminist movement and arguing that feminism has done more to help men than MRA's, blah blah blah..

I copy pasta'd my go-to response for those situations, which listed off a bunch of examples/sources of feminists fighting against the men's rights movement.. and also feminists harming men over the last 40 years. I mentioned the Duluth model, Erin Pizzey... and I talked about how for decades feminists denied the existence of male victims of DV and even sexual assault. I mentioned how they would censor research which highlighted male fighting and personally attacked and shut down anybody that tried to raise awareness towards male victims..

Another person responded back all condescending like with a source talking about how feminists were the ones that helped change the definition of rape to include male victims. They made some smart ass comment acting like I'm uninformed and clearly just biased and hate feminists...

So, I responded back with multiple sources of my own and I clarified that yeah, feminists helped refine the rape laws to include male victims... BUT they specifically made sure to exclude "made to penetrate" which is the majority of female on male rape cases. They only included male victims that were penetrated themselves, which obviously is most men that are raped by other men.

The majority of female on male rape cases happen when the women forces or makes him penetrate her... either by coercion, blackmail.. or her taking advantage of him when he's not in a conscious state (drunk, sleeping, etc).

One of the sources I gave talked about this lady, Mary Koss.. and it included her comment about how it's "inappropriate to consider women forcing men to penetrate them as rape"..

I asked the feminists what they thought about that? Why would those feminists that influenced the FBI and other organizations to redefine rape.. why would they intentionally exclude the majority of female on male rape cases? If they were trying to help male rape victims get justice, then why would they leave out "made to penetrate"? I asked them why those feminists were trying to protect female rapists if they were truly a movement about gender equality and not giving women special privileges and protections?

Now I'm sure most of you can guess what happened after that.. lol The person never responded anymore in that thread and I would guess they ran off to their feminist safe spaces where nobody is allowed to challenge their world view or challenge their preconceived notions about feminism..

It's sad really.. when presented with new evidence that contradicts their opinion.. instead of taking those truths into consideration, they'd rather just close off their minds and become even more steadfast in their beliefs.

EDIT: If you give me 10 minutes I'll come back and post those sources I had about the rape reform laws and the role feminists played in it..

You can't argue with a closed mind.

That is so crazy

Since the law isn't protecting boys, parents need to do internet searches of the boys' teachers to see if they have had been accused of sexual predation of their students.
