To anyone that has taken on the role of "mother" for any reason...

Some of you have partners with children. Those children may not be 'yours', but you have accepted that role. Some of you have adopted children. Again, they aren't your blood, but they are your children. Some of you are single or widowed that are forced into being both mother and father. There are also some that are struggling to become parents (and some that have gotten lucky and soon will be). You're not there yet, but someday you will be. Don't feel bad when a day like this comes around. You too can smile and be proud that when your day comes, you will be an even more appreciative parent.

You are to be commended! With gender roles being wonderfully blurred more and more, "Father's Day" and "Mother's Day" are merely "Parents Day". So, if you are a "Parent", Happy Parent's Day!

Celebrate the role you have in molding a young child because it will be the most important thing you ever do.
