I became aware yesterday that UN Woman has a new gender equality campaign.

It’s really worth reading their action kits. All of them try to present initially as talking about men’s issues. It becomes apparent very quickly this is simply to soften men up before delvieriyng their payload -

“Challenge the abuse of power and ideas that justify the social domination by men or the domination by men in individual relationships”

Of course nothing about men who might be in relationships with controlling, abusive or dominating women. Nothing about men who might be in social situations dominated by women (such as most modern educational institutions).

I think it’s astonishing a campaign that talks about gender equality is run by UN Women that presents itself as responsible for equality when there is no equivalent UN Men. It starts with a systematic gender inequality.

Then there is the wording - why is the slogan about one gender being for the other or men being ally’s to women. Why can’t both sexes help challenge the inequalities that the other faces.

Tldr - UN Women have a new propaganda campaign aimed at getting men to support their agenda that presents itself as a gender equality campaign but doesn’t authentically care about issues that affect men.
