Hello, I have been a reddit reader for a while, and a member of this community since I made an account.

When I first joined, I really did find it interesting how frequently men are discriminated against in the law and society. The world we live in definitely has come to favor women (or more frequently just punish men) in many areas, and yes, it is not deserved.

But what do we do about it?

What have the men of today become that we sit in our own corner of the internet and commiserate about how unfair things are, while the world goes on around us oblivious? Why are we on the defensive if we have done no wrong?

As messed up as things are, I feel it is each of our responsibilities to grow a pair and work for change! It doesn't have to mean protest or contact lawmakers, what about something as simple as being confident and proud of being a man? Though men and women have many things in common - genders are wildly different in some aspects. Celebrate them, both male and female! Don't hide them to fit in, or stay under the radar. Let's take back masculinity (and in doing so encourage true femininity imo) for ourselves and for our children. Post some positive stories about men being men, and standing up for men's rights. If there aren't any, make some happen. It can start here.

Man up.

tl;dr: I think we should stop whining about MensRights being trampled and do something about it.
