A buddy of mine - we will call Bob - has received a notification that he has been accused of drugging and raping a girl. Obviously this is a total bullshit.

Incident happened 3 months ago. It was a mom's weekend on a Sunday. There was a daughter, the mother and an aunt drinking at a bar, that my buddy Bob bartends at. Bob was not working at the time but he was there drinking.

Bob is attends a major state university, is a white male, in a fraternity, comes from money, and is extremely good looking. He approaches the aunt, the mom, and the daughter and begins hitting on them. Which they absolutely loved (Bob is also one of the most charismatic guys I know). Eventually they begin buying drinks and hitting it off. Hours pass by and Bob and the daughter are connecting. The mother and aunt approve. Eventually the mother and aunt decide to head out, but before they leave the mom says to Bob and the daughter, "you two have fun tonight."

Closing time approaches and the daughter - I will now refer to as "Cindy" - says to Bob, "let's go back to your place." Bob obliges. They hookup and fall asleep. Bob wakes up in the middle of the night (or I guess early early morning) to the mother pulling Cindy out of his bed screaming and cussing. Bob said Cindy threw up at some point in the night because there was a pile of puke on the floor. Cindy and the mom get in a fight on the way out of the house, per a roommate's report. Nothing is heard of again.

3 months go by and Bob gets the Title IX letter accusing him of drugging and raping Cindy. The accusers (Cindy and the mom) did not go to the police, did not get evaluated for rape, did not get a toxicology report done, they did nothing. Bob also finds out that Cindy is 19.

Bob has hired a lawyer that specializes in Title IX cases, but still feels that the University has already reached a guilty verdict.

Bob snooped on Cindy's Instagram and she posted a picture at the same bar that this alleged drugging occurred at 4 days after the incident. Mind you, this is the bar Bob bartends at. Typically rape is a pretty dramatic experience, I doubt an underage girl would want to go back to a bar where her rapist works at and also allegedly drugged her at.

The most recent news is that the University has decided to skip the pretrial and go straight into a full team investigation. Looking for some help here from anybody that has experience with something like this.
