Most of the complaints from women about misogyny online is simply losing real life female privilege and being treated like men are.

They're not used to it and find it harsh.

Imagine a spoiled rich kid suddenly finding themselves poor. From their perspective society is being unfairly cruel to them and they're enduring worse suffering than anyone. In reality they're just being treated like everyone else.

Stackoverflow is one of the top web sites on the internet for sharing programming knowledge. Many great minds are on that site and I would imagine that Stackoverflow is more representative of the more competent programming professionals out there, so I think it's a good place for this little social experiment.

The tech bro doesn't exist. Most programmers are hopelessly awkward and insecure, and even if they weren't, workplace environments are still feminized because "office managers," marketing, PR, etc. are dominated by women and gay men. Where are the articles about the toxic masculinity in traditionally "bro" fields like finance, law and sales? Oh right, women want to date those men.
