It's shitty but these days having sex with a girl whom you doubt might be even slightly on the crazy side is like banging against the insides of an electric switchboard with a hammer, and we've all seen that gif.

Women have the power to ruin your life if they so much as regret having had sex with you. Considering that this guy was extremely lucky.

It's sickening how men do not see women as a threat even when they are holding a gun to their head. Even when the woman shoots and misses. I'm starting to suspect that such blindness to the danger women pose has a genetic component. I see this in divorce stories posted here almost daily and it sickens me. These men do nothing to protect themselves as women are actively ruining their lives, because they do not see these women as a threat.

She accused him of rape and almost ruined his life and his take on it? They're both victims.

No, you dummy, the one who tries to kill you is not a victim. They may be crazy, deranged, psychotic or just plain evil, but you are the victim.

OP here. Thanks for sharing my story. I think it gives some useful insight to how the 'victim' isn't always the one making the accusation. Influence from friends and family who have no idea what happened can make a big difference. Especially in cases of post-sexual regret or uncertainty.

I think it serves as a reminder that we need to keep a level head when considering rape. My story when viewed from the outside is a gray area in rape accusations that runs uncomfortably close to the victim who was raped as is afraid or ashamed to come forward. It's not as clear cut as a false accusation meant to hurt someone. To the people on the outside who don't know what happened, it could be regret or it could be an actual rape.

Those people in my story probably thought they were helping this girl, but ultimately they were just projecting their own biases into the situation. Had they actually listened to her and learned what really happened, this may have all been avoided.
