Nowadays both traditionalists and feminists seem to recognize that DV against men is a thing. That is a huge step forwards compared to a few years ago where traditionalists would tell the abused guy to just "be a man" and feminists would say that the Duluth model is god and that men cannot be abused because DV is "patriarchal violence". I see more and more people talking about abuse against men and this makes me optimistic.

Male rape is also discussed more with a surprising number of people accepting nowadays that men can be raped by women too. I swear that a few years ago, nobody would believe such a thing.

There is still a long way to go, but I believe things will improve and I think that the MRM has played a role on that even if indirectly. Sure, MRAs are still hated but because of their existence other groups are pressured to address men's rights and this is helpful in its own right.
