Most likely, it would have been 1.70 for everyone because safety regulations, then a bunch of women probably complained because women are shorter on average so the requirements were relaxed for women.

Same thing happened with firemen, policemen, infantrymen, etc. Anything which has some physical fitness requirement usually has a lesser requirement for women, even if it has a negative impact on the safety of others (sometimes even to the degree of costing lives).

I don’t know any civilian airline that has a height requirement. In the military, yes, but there is both a minimum and maximum height because you literally might not fit in the cockpit. There can also be requirements on sitting height and reach. In the US military the limits are the same for men and women and the Air Force has completely dropped limits since they now have more aircraft with flexible cockpits. Practically though if you are 4 feet or 7 feet it’s just not going to work.

Yes. Shorter men make less money than taller men. Most managers (not all) are in the taller side.

Yes it is absolutely a thing. In employment. A 5 foot 2 man faces a wage gap similar to what women face.

Looking at your post history, you find some odd things to complain about. How did you go from complaining about haircuts in a masters degree to airlines?

0.05 meters is 2 inches* for people using the imperial system.

Edit: bad math on my side. Still, why is OP looking for these issues. Karma farming? Or is he actually interested in a masters degree and becoming a pilot?

Take a position and report back to us on if you can grow your hair beyond 1 cm or if they hired you because you are under 170 cm and taller than 165 cm
