So I have a question/thought/concept/idea that I want to present to you guys and I'd like to see your opinions on it.

First here's what I mean by Left vs Right: Leftists tend to believe that society and institutions should shoulder a greater share of responsibility in ensuring the welfare of each individual. Rightists tend to believe that individuals should shoulder a greater share of responsibility in their own welfare.

More and more, it seems that society and especially feminism are advocating for Leftwing ideology for women and Rightwing ideology for men: when it comes to women's issues society and institutions needs to be changed to make their problems go away. When it comes to discussion about men, it centers around toxic masculinity which redirects to telling men to change their beliefs and behaviors. So basically, if a man has problems he's responsible for fixing it by changing his own behavior and beliefs.

So, all MRAs can pretty much agree that this is an unacceptable double standard. And most MRAs can point to a large number of instances where these double standards come into practice and affect men in their daily lives.

But that's where agreement ends. Left wing MRAs will want to advocate for greater government intervention and support for men. Right wing MRAs will want to advocate for lesser government intervention and support for women.

Those MRAs whose "Left Wing" or "Right Wing" values are more important than their MRA values will actively oppose the efforts of their opposing wing.

I lean left wing. I'm all about cooperation. But in this instance, I feel like after a certain point, it just gets in the way.

What do you guys think?

EDIT (5 hours after post): Fixed typo to change men to women in the 5th paragraph.
