I'm 5'3, honestly I understand why guys are doing this. Being short can basically ruin your life unless you're happy being alone.

[+]KMS__Scharnhorst -7 points-6 points-5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bro I’m 6 and still have growing years but I’ll never be enough for myself unless I’m like 6’7 or smth I always wanted to play pro ball but at this height it’s not possible

Keep your head up king

[+]CampaignSpecific2534 46 points47 points48 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Let me give it to ya fellas straight, height does matter. It matters quite a lot, but it doesn't matter enough to be doing this bs for some chick who cares more about your height than your personality.

The risk is just not worth the reward and the complications (which are quite gruesome) that can and do appear after surgery.

[–]SleeplessAndAnxious 33 points34 points35 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I've literally seen women on tiktok call men under 5ft 8" names like midget, manlet, hobbit, little man etc. Is it really any wonder that so many men are turning to such an invasive surgery?

[–]Futureman999[S] 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you even disagree with a woman on reddit, for example telling her her needs and desires shouldn't always come first because of her gender, you get reported for "toxic misogyny!!"

But nobody calls women out for misandry when they're tearing men down and intentionally trying to harm their confidence and self esteem

Protect yourself my brothers, because nobody else cares

[–]Yamazaki23 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I once heard a woman say that a guy under 5ft8 is one of the girls. Even so, I can't believe that such a barbaric procedure is legal.

[–]SleeplessAndAnxious 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Same here. I did think of it for a while but when I learned just how much is involved and thought about how much fucking pain you'd go through with it, I was like nah no thanks. I'd rather pay a few hundred $ to get jaw reshaping with filler for a wider jawline to improve my self-confidence and keep going to the gym and lifting weight.

[–]Yamazaki23 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm actually gutted that you've spent time thinking of doing procedures just to be more comfortable in your own skin. Doesn't sound like a good place to be, but I hope you eventually get enough confidence to not worry about your appearance.

[–]SleeplessAndAnxious 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wish it was that easy. I've been bullied my whole life through to high school for being ugly, having a small head, being a nerd, short etc. Had a rough childhood, barely any friends, first relationship the gf was abusive (physically, financially, verbally etc) and my second long term relationship I was cheated on after almost 12 years together.

I've just come to terms with the fact that I'm shit and my life is shit, but at least my appearance is something I can have some control over even if it does cost money. And never letting another woman control or invade my life again.

[–]Yamazaki23 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't personally share your struggles so such statements have never hurt me on a personal level. I just think it's horrible how guys have to just listen to that and "man up" whereas if you say the same kinda things about women then you're a horrible human being. Everyone is wondering why Andrew Tate and Manosphere content is so popular, but even if you don't agree with a lot of what they say, they are literally the only people that publicly acknowledge that men actually have issues and aren't just basking in their "privilege".

[–]SleeplessAndAnxious 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I don't personally watch Andrew Tate or like him but he does make some good points. There are definitely better content creators out there for covering men's issues and bringing a voice to it, like Roma's Army. She's awesome.

And yeah, it's disgusting that women expect men to treat them like they're perfect and accept them regardless of their weight, appearance etc, only to turn around and harass/bully men online for being short, having a small dick, being bald etc. They're hypocrites.

[–]WV8VW 26 points27 points28 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is not mandatory, just like makeup isn't.

There are outrage in the media about women hating makeup and "how opressive it is".

Maybe someday these kind of bone breaking procedures will have the same effect in the media. Until that, applying foundation "must be harder" than breaking legs - because "women are more oppressed".

[–]practicalMagika 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think the media may give make up more attention because every woman in the world uses it. As opposed to this very uncommon procedure.

[–]pilotlet 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The man once again faces the great vicissitudes in his life: intersexual competition. Height stands out as one of the great attractions, not only sexual, but also one of domination over other human beings. Height, in short, stands as an objective value for measuring power in many fields, although it is not necessarily a generality, but it is a generality on the cusp of many labor or social aspects.

Operations are makeup, nothing more. It is like those people who graft hair. Their looks will improve and they will have more sexual and social success, but..., it's just that: a fight against our phenotype to achieve social benefits. I do not condemn it, nor do I approve it, simply, A collective schizophrenia is being promoted where huge amounts of money and quality of life are invested to have options to achieve more opportunities.

Wherever gynocentrism comes together with few resources, it will come together, for future projection that there are and will be first, second and third class men.

And it is painful, because the short feels that he is a subhuman or is made to feel that way. Subhuman? Human beings are distinguished by their intelligence, the pinnacle of evolution. Copium? No, but enough of this incelist-blackpillist shit to center the value of someone by their height. This is the enslavement of man on a massive scale.

[–]amakusa360 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Sounds painful

[–]FeignNewb 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I truly don’t see why any man would bother with this. I am only 5’8 and have women tease me about my height, wife even makes small jokes at times, but I would never do this.

[–]lifesuckswannadie 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

5'8 isn't that short. I'm 5'3 and this surgery is the only way I have a chance of not dying alone

[–]No-Pension-1911 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I’m 5”8 and never struggles my whole life, I like short girls anyway and they like me. Also, I’m pretty attractive but I’m not rich at all.

I would say to increase your chances as a small guy; dress well, eat well, exercise and make sure you’re clean and look after yourself.

[–]Ikaros004 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Im 5'8, ive felt it be a factor many times.

Edit: dont downvote the guy i replied to, thats his experience, doesn't have to be the same as yours.

[–]No-Pension-1911 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That’s odd , I have with certain girls but those aren’t the type of girls I’m into, does that make sense? I’m not into girls that would be all fussy over height

[–]Ikaros004 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Its entirely possible the you havent really paid attention to these girls since you like shorter ones. Height is not much of a factor when it comes to my preferences, i am attracted to taller women as well as short. Im about to be 40 and i have never had a girl taller them me date me. When you go on a dating site, thats where you experience it the most, its very common to see "no men under 6ft" then you begin to wonder how many times you were skipped over on person because of your height. Sometimes you'll see a girl that you use to pursue that wasn't interested, be with a guy that's nothing special in comparison to me, except much taller. I use to be incredibly skinny , like underweight up until i was 27. I had a much harder time dating because of my lack of size. Women didnt feel like i could provide them with any kind of security and didnt take me seriously. Most women want to feel protected by their man if shit goes down. However i would see girls with guys just as skinny as me but one difference, they were tall, usually over 6ft. Im lucky im 5'8 and i feel for the shorter guys. I dont hate women for choosing taller guys, that's their preference. If they want to miss out on someone that may be perfect for them but not the right height, thats their choice. I know from personal experience that attraction isnt always a choice.

[–]No-Pension-1911 -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah I don’t ever use dating sites because I think they’re complete superficial nonsense. I prefer to meet women in real life.

I also don’t even go for western women, I prefer east Asian or Latin like Spanish/Italian/Brazilian. They tend to be smaller on average anyway.

[–]lifesuckswannadie 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

5'8 is pretty average, plus as you said you're attractive.

I'm 5'3 and its impossible

[–]No-Pension-1911 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Yeah 5’3 must be hard, especially in western countries. Try eastern countries ?

[–]lifesuckswannadie 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Eastern countries don't like black people

[–]No-Pension-1911 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Not true bro, but if you’re worried about that, go to Spain.

[–]lifesuckswannadie 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Spain is still the west with the same problems

[–]No-Pension-1911 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

All these places I’ve suggested, have you been? Or you’re just saying no before actually giving it a go? If you’ve been then unlucky, I’m sure they’ll be someone for you.

[–]lifesuckswannadie 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've not personally been but I know people that have

[–]djl8699 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There’s more to being tall than just long legs, taller people literally have bigger overall frames than short people. Doesn’t lengthening your legs just make you look weird? Like a giraffe.

[–]UN_sensored1 points 3 years ago [recovered] (3 children) | Copy Link

Cheaper solution: Gym, weight gain/lifting diet, get shredded and build mass. Your height won't matter.

[–]Ftpiercecracker1 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If only that were true and I say this as a taller guy.

[+]CampaignSpecific2534 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Your height won't matter.

Unfortunately, it does.

[–]pilotlet 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Everything has certain limits. Do not fall into blackpill fatalism or redpill optimism regarding looksmaxxing.

If in the past women were criticized for their paranoia and madness regarding looksmaxxing, today men have to understand that there are limits that they should not exceed due to their mental and physical health. And this of the operations, apart from being very expensive, can be fucking disappointing.

[–]Reaper621 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This is made for people like my nephew, who at 10 is the same height as my 5 year old. Not for dating strategy.

It's sad that this is the lengths some people will go.

[–]djl8699 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Pun intended?

[+]lumpynose -27 points-26 points-25 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

If you're short and a doctor or lawyer and make half a million dollars a year the women won't care that you're short. They'll marry a short rich guy any day over a tall, handsome, hung, and muscular guy who drives an Amazon delivery van.

[–]pilotlet 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Dual mating strategy. Interest in resources versus genuine attraction; an understanding of love as resources against the reproductive instinct.

Personally, the most sensible thing for a man is that if he knows that he is not attractive, he does not enter into these types of relationships., not only because of the possible monetary bleeding and possible cuckoldry, but because everything revolves around a great falsehood.

[–]lumpynose 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I really wonder sometimes if women love their husbands in the same way that men love women. So many times I've heard women describe their husband by how helpful he was, how he did things for them, etc. Never about how they enjoyed doing the same things, had the same interests, etc. I think it's yet another innate evolutionary thing where women evolved to look at their mate as the provider.

But then on the flip side, a man may love a woman when they're young and get married but when she's in her 40s he's unlikely to still find her sexually attractive.

[–]tiredfromlife2019 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You already know the answer. You just don't want to face it.

They don't love their husbands. They are not sexually attracted to him. He is a provider they find useful.

[–]pilotlet 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My opinion, which can be widely criticized, is that they don't feel the same way. They are different interests and there are different strategies. Both because of the role of each one, and because of the passive-active dichotomy.

I think that talking about love is talking about a fully human concept, more than an animal one. Love is a social construct that has evolved for centuries and that does not stop being, essentially, a project of vital continuity, and within its different organizational forms, it is a decision rooted in the upbringing of children and the maintenance of common property and resources and for the offspring; that is to say, love would be like a family project through which they seek to organize resources and raise children in an efficient and structured way, and therefore, a rational decision, within the vital instinct of reproduction, but far exceeding it.

A dichotomy between sexual attraction and love also arises, the more one seeks to extend what a relationship between two people, as is the case of marriage. Apart from monotony and old age, Those people who enter marriage believing that the human being does not change or grow old, losing youth, is an idiot person. If the marriage is built on a mere but strong sexual attraction, then it will look like this marriage will last as long as that sexual attraction lasts, or 3 to 5 years. But the evidence shows us is that the woman gets tired before the man that the man gets tired of the woman. And while the man may be a polygamous cheater, it is the woman who essentially wants to break up with the marriage more commonly, for reasons of dissatisfaction.

With the liberation of the sexual market, the standard of men is raised. It is no longer enough to possess resources, but to possess them and be sexually attractive. Being ugly and having money sadly only makes you a cuckold in most cases.

[–]tiredfromlife2019 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They will marry the short rich guy but will never sexually desire him. They want to fuck and desire the tall, handsome, hung and muscular guy.

They may every try and have a kid with the Chad and pass it off as the kid of the short rich guy.

[–]APA770 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly. They might marry the short man, but they will cheat on him with the same type of man that they have been banging for most of their adult life i.e. a tall and handsome man.

[+]practicalMagika -22 points-21 points-20 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Beyond stupid. Your personality can attract women if you do it right. Being short isn’t nearly as much of a problem as being so insecure about you’re height that you’d be willing to do this.

[–]lifesuckswannadie 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Why do short men do so much worse on dating apps if women didn't think it was a big deal

[+]practicalMagika -7 points-6 points-5 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

They do think it’s important. It’s just not something that can’t be overcome. Having a symmetrical face is important too but it can be overcome.

[–]lifesuckswannadie 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

No because it's a filter that you either pass or you don't. You don't get the time of day to even overcome anything because you get zero attention

[+]practicalMagika -6 points-5 points-4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Lol. Not true. Just something people tell themselves to justify their failures. Many short men are married. It’s the ones with toxic attitudes that are mad at women for their height that don’t get wives.

[–]lifesuckswannadie 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Most short men are struggling right now. There are exceptions but that's not the majority

[–]APA770 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Nope. Most short men do not get dates, sex and relationships. The vast majority of women do not want to date a short man.

[+]practicalMagika -7 points-6 points-5 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Nope. Most men under 6 feet are married. Most men end up married. Short, overweight, birth defect, thinking Kevin James is funny, regardless of those traits, most men end up married.

[–]APA770 9 points10 points11 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I never wrote any specific height, but thanks for revealing that you think that men under 6 feet tall are short.

Actual short men are 5'6" or shorter, and the vast majority of those men do not get dates, sex and relationships.
