A lot of guys aren’t broken. They’re just stuck with nowhere to put their energy. When men don’t have structure or purpose, it comes out sideways. Give boys movement, responsibility, and real male spaces again and you get fewer problems, not more.

Men and boys don't have special needs. They are just obviously, observably different from women and girls. And pretending otherwise id ridiculous. But many women seem to rather put their heads in the sand and expect all children to behave like girls.

As a legal activist working with broken men every day, I see this truth clearly: boys are being raised to suppress natural energy, ambition, risk-taking and competitiveness, then society wonders why frustration, addiction and anger explode later. Masculinity itself is not the problem, lack of healthy outlets is. Demonising men, policing speech, over-digitising childhood and normalising early exposure to pornography damages psychological development and emotional discipline. We need strong male mentorship, physical activity, brotherhood, purpose and accountability, not ideological shaming. A balanced society respects biological realities while enforcing strict responsibility for wrongdoing. When men are allowed to channel their energy into creation, leadership, discipline and service, they don’t become a threat, they become stabilisers of society.

I also grew up being a “boy” and at the same time not degrading, hurting, or bashing women as so did my close male friends. It’s crazy to think that they think all the issues are because of masculinity and not just because the truly are shitty men that don’t reflect the average man. Just like there are shitty women, Christians, atheist, Cambodians, whites, Asians…etc you get the point

So funny study about this. There is a correlation between the rise of video game popularity in males and the current job issues we are facing. Alot of seniors are not retiring which means those positions are not going to middle aged men which means those men don't have the same accomplishments as men their age in past generations. So they turn to video games and the incremental accomplishments those give as a replacement. Men aren't "losing their energy" they are directing it elsewhere.

Same reason less men are dating.

The short term answer for criminality is simple.

Much harsher penalties for individuals who deliberately violate the law (not talking edge cases here where there was a shoving match and somebody took a swing at somebody, looking at instances where individuals had a true choice, and chose criminality). Penalties for repeat offenders should be even more so.

Long term solution is much harder.

Educating people that they have an obligation to leave a positive impact on society while simultaneously working on social programs that give people opportunities to be productive members of society EVEN after they have made some serious mistakes.

(You'll notice neither of these are gendered solutions, they should apply to everyone).

It’s a tricky problem because the lostness becomes such an easy thing for others to take advantage of. Idk what the social terms for it are, but that invisible definition of “masculine” is just a carrot on a stick. They trick dudes into buying their clothes, or subscribing to their podcast, or buying their supplements or yadda yadda. It’s turned into such a global ad farm everywhere you look and you have no idea what’s real. The right places to look are so obscured by scam artists that we in this comment section problem can’t even give a definition of what “dude stuff” is. Defining actual role models, or qualities is too tricky too because the whole point is holding yourself accountable to your own personal code, so you can have your own definition for it. With the general guideline that to be a man is a spiritual thing, you can’t attribute qualities to it that are superficial, the qualities must be metaphysical. You can only partially control your circumstances but can you fully control your character. I feel like we should be allowed to definitively say that 1. Net worth 2. Clothing & possessions 3. Your car does not define your manhood, but how you would use any of those things does.
