This sounds like it’s based off of shitty relationships. This is definitely not a monolith for all women. Even before I was married, I dated a few girls who were good at giving compliments, being supportive, etc

I don't think this is accurate, or maybe you are trying to say something else but the wording is a bit ambiguous.

In my experience, this is more dependent on the personalities, and I think it is also because men are more competitive against each other and therefore give less compliments to other men. Whereas women get compliments all the time from other women. It is more the lack of compliments a person gets in general that is the cause of this, and because women get more compliments in their life one simple thing is not going to do it.

And besides that, you should never see love or affection like a "credit card balance" or exchange, "if I give you a compliment, you have to give me a compliment back", that's not love and it also leads to saying not honest compliments.

LOL tell me you’ve never had an actual relationship without telling me. You realize actual alpha males are in happy relationships because they treat women with respect and not on Reddit trying to figure out why no one loves them. Let that sink in.
