Is almost like men are becoming wary of tlaking to women, even if they seem to be in a position where they want to interact, like at a bar. But while she is literally crying that no one approached her you hear stories of women all the time saying "just because I'm at a bar doesn't mean I want to be hit on" was the Philadelphia jazz scene supposed to assume that she wasn't at a jazz club to listen to music?
