Because feminism is a female superiority movement that fails to acknowledge the advantages women have in modern society in favor of creating the idea that womens are and have always been some kind of oppressed class. When in reality women thought history have piggybacked on the accomplishments of men and generally lead comparatively easier lives.

Men's rights is about supporting men. But how can you support men when resources that should be non gender specific are being focused on women? Look at education, mental health services, sexual and domestic violence services it all caters specifically to women with men as an after thought.

Look at ideas like toxic masculinity and rape culture. Feminists are painting men as dangerous sexuality violent mysioninists, how can you fight for the rights of men and accept polerising rhetoric like that?

Being anti-feminist isn't toxic. We're pro women, pro men, and pro equality here. Most of feminism is in practice none of those, once you start looking beyond the propaganda.

Then, when women started being able to earn their own money while still leaving the men responsible for the family expenses, including income taxes, encouraged women to hide their income from their husband's so that they would be jailed.

Beginning of the tender years doctrine. Where men used to be responsible for children after divorce, associating custody and responsibility to pay for the child's expenses, women obtained custody, but left the responsibility to pay for the children squarely on the men's shoulder, creating the abberation that is child support.

2nd wave, includes people like Andrea dworkins (political lesbianism, all heterosexual sex is rape) , Valery solanas (scum manifesto, praised by NOW) , and Sally Miller gerhart (men's population should be reduced to 10%).

Thanks to the invention of the pill, the sexual revolution begins. Introduction of "no fault divorce". Rise of the epidemy of single motherhood. Beginning of the narrative of fathers being unnecessary anyway.

Boys start to grow up in highly feminized environments, without male role models, and working mother having no experience in being a boy growing up have no idea how to handle their sons.

Formalisation of the patriarchy theory. Creation of gender studies department and similar academic fraud mills pumping ideology that mascarades as science to legitimize their BS and train people to be good at nothing except feminist activism, who have been pumped throughout society's bureaucracy since then.

Erin Pizzey starts the first battered women's shelter, notices that most women there are at least as violent as the men they flee. Try to draw attention on that and open a battered men's shelter. Has to flee England because of feminist death threats.

Creation of the Duluth model for domestic violence, of which one of the creator publicly admitted it was based purely on feminist ideology in spite of the facts, which states that women are the default victims and men the default perpetrators.

Beginning of the feminist campaign of lies about domestic violence to hide the violence of women. When you hear that "recent studies have shown that more men are victims than we formerly believe", what you need to read is "the internet and the wide and easy access to information has let the cat out of the bag, we need to damage control. Gender parity in DV has been known since Erin Pizzey if not before. That's the 70s.

Warren Farrell, board member of NOW goes to investigate the wage gap. Finds that it is the result of choices, and set out to inform women that they can make individual choice that would empower them to chance that state of things if they so wish. Gets kicked out of NOW for that.

3rd and 4rth wave feminism : the kind we know of today. The activists created through the BS diplomas created during the 2nd wave are now journalists, politicians, unelected bureaucrats implementing policies, and HR departments and professors. They push things like the Duluth model that is responsible for men victims of DV to be more likely to be arrested than to be helped, should they call the police. They use lies about the wage gap to get governments and agency to put in place the policies they like. They tailor the education to girls, cut recess, and treat boys like defective girls, giving rise to the overdiagnosis of ADHD and the medication of boys presenting normal boy behavior. They write children's books like "boys are stupid, throw rocks at them". They publish pièces like "why can't we hate men". They push theories like "toxic masculinity". Etc, etc.

Now, tell me, how do you help men's mental health without saying that toxic masculinity is BS, that men aren't inherently privileged oppressors, aren't innately violent monsters who need to be taught not to rape, etc?

How do you help men victims of domestic violence without uttering the words "Duluth model is pure ideological BS based on lies and feminists have been lying about it"?

How do you help fathers trying to get access to their children without going into conflict with the NOW which has been systematically opposing default shared custody even though it has overwhelming public support?

Please, give me any men's problem that can be worked upon that doesn't have feminism as either the cause or the biggest roadblock in the path of solving it. If you do, I will be willing to not be anti-feminist on that point, and even work with feminists if they are willing to do so.

As for providing support for men in need, I don't know how much attention you have been paying, but very regularly, there are people coming here to share their stories because nobody would listen to them anywhere, and receiving the compassion and love, and encouragements and so on that they desperately need.

If you think "not opposing feminism" isn't a political stance, it's because our society has been bathed in it since before anybody alive today was born. Their concepts pervade our culture to the point that many people take some of their conspiracy theories and pseudoscience for granted.

You want to combat toxic masculinity? I'll humour you. Could you give me a workable, non-misandrist definition of the term?

If you are one of those fools who use the term "toxic masculinity" then you have no right to offer support to anyone.

"Toxic masculinity" is hate speech. If you don't understand that, you're better off staying away from men who need help.

Feminists have caused many of the serious problems facing men today. They are also fighting against solutions to many of these issues, for example by opposing child custody reform, alimony reform, funding for DV shelters for men, etc.

Feminists are also actively working around the world to undermine men's legal rights, for example by removing the presumption of innocence and right to due process as they did on campuses through the 2011 Title IX "Dear Colleague" letter. If Hillary Clinton had won the 2016 election they would be rolling out the same changes in the criminal courts right now. See also: Canada's Ghomeshi law and similar efforts in the UK and Australia.

[In Australia, for example, the jury in the rape trial of a man was not allowed to be told that the woman accusing him had made false accusations towards other men on 12 previous occasions, been prosecuted for several of them and plead guilty to a couple. The reason why such an obviously false case was brought to trial is the same as the reason why the jury couldn't be told of her previous convictions for lying: pressure from feminist lobby groups.]

Feminists are working in every country to futher increase the gender sentencing gap in criminal courts, by demanding even more lenient treatment for women convicted of crimes. Many of them are demanding the complete abolition of jail for women under all circumstances.

You cannot stand up for men's rights without opposing feminism. The only way we will ever have gender equality is by defeating and destroying feminism. It's just a fact. You find that fact uncomfortable because it's politically incorrect, but it is an unavoidable fact.

Perhaps because modern feminism is the biggest obstacle for MRA to overcome and they actively and openly hate men and anything dealing with men's rights.

I think most of the people you're talking about (those with the "toxic anti-feminist sentiment") aren't against the original idea of feminism; they're against the femi-nazis/misandrists: they just use the word "feminism" because a lot of the representatives of feminism in the media are femi-nazis/misandrists, and that's shorter to type out. I'll admit, there probably are people who are actually against feminism in its original sense, but many (probably/hopefully) are not. If you see comments that seem to have a "toxic anti-feminist sentiment" feel free to correct them, because I think we need that too. And just make posts about those issues you described, people will probably upvote them and follow your lead.

Feminists literally tell men who are suffering in life that they’re toxic pieces of shit, while they fly in their little feminist private jet, then wonder why those men hate them. If you care for female superiority go ahead in menslib where the men are taught to put themselves after women.

I agree feminism is about female superiority. Sheryl sandbergs of the world giving ted talks because people didn’t know where the female bathroom was. Meanwhile first of all given she’s the fucking COO of Facebook she was likely the dominant one in the room. Any company she was visiting was likely well below Facebook. And she gets pissed off because they don’t know where the washroom is and we’re supposed to act like that’s not an act of dominance from her?

And that is western feminism in 2019 and why everyone on this board hates feminism. They don’t allow you to disagree with them and they want dominance, not equality.

How do you not hate feminism when women in bars treat men like absolute shit while men are groveling and doing what they can to try to get their attention, while women still bitch and complain about how hard they have it and even worse, demanding that men who are suffering publicize and tell everyone about their suffering “because nothing gets better if you don’t talk about it”.

Ps I love women and have always treated them well. Feminists just happen to be a separate class although they do try to blur the lines.
