Rape is a horrible crime that shouldn’t ever happen to anybody. But it does. We here at /r/MensRights know this as well, maybe better, than most do. Let’s help build up our wikibase with rape definitions and statistics for each state (feel free to throw in other specific countries as well!). Having a solid knowledge base is the start to change the tide in the culture war for equality.

The format should be something along the lines of this (I will use my home state of Pennsylvania as an example):

[Pennsylvania][Rape Code Law]

Source: http://www.legis.state.pa.us/WU01/LI/LI/CT/HTM/18/00.031.021.000..HTM

$3121. Rape.

a. Offense defined. --A person commits a felony of the first degree when the person engages in sexual intercourse with a complainant:

  1. By forcible compulsion.

  2. By threat of forcible compulsion that would prevent resistance by a person of reasonable resolution.

  3. Who is unconscious or where the person knows that the complainant is unaware that the sexual intercourse is occurring.

  4. Where the person has substantially impaired the complainant’s power to appraise or control his or her conduct by administering or employing, without the knowledge of the complainant, drugs, intoxicants or other means for the purpose of preventing resistance.

  5. Who suffers from a mental disability which renders the complainant incapable of consent.

  6. (Deleted by amendment)

Summary: The Pennsylvania Codified law is gender neutral and does not adversely affect male victims of rape.

Please include a source with your written post showing the rape law for your state or country. If possible, the source should be from an official site; of course any source is better than no source. Together we can make a core knowledge base, and with it maybe change the world.

:)

Hopefully this goes well, and we can expand our knowledge base to other areas; let's stick with the low hanging fruit for now.
