19-year-old woman who punched an elderly man unconscious in the street, causing him to fall to the ground, hit his head and then die a week later, is cleared of causing his death. Instead, she was charged with "wounding" and given a six-month curfew

Time to get shat on, but I have the same rules for my son. The exact same rules. And if the meaning behind her rule is the same as mine, then she doesn't mean LITERALLY ask consent to change a diaper. We know it has to be done, but I don't say "can I change your diaper, yes or no." I say "you have a dirty diaper and mommy has to change it so you don't get a rash, ok? yes, I know you want to play, but this is something we have to do, ok?" It makes a kid feel like they have more autonomy than saying "lay down, I'm changing you." And we all know that mommy and daddy don't have to ask permission for diaper changes, but I don't want my child to think it's ok for ANYONE to change him and if someone besides mommy or daddy tries to, he can say no.

I'm the only one besides his dad that's allowed to give him sugar. Otherwise, his grandparents would give him diabetes.

No, my son doesn't have to share. When you're an adult, has someone ever said to you "give them your iPad, you have to share it." No. I tell my son, "it's okay that you don't want to share your dinosaur, is there another toy that little Timmy can play with instead?"

These are considered controversial because people want to raise happy little robots, and not happy humans.

Do you want to sit in poop? You do? Oh you little cuttie sitting in poop.

Maybe 7/10 times if you ask a baby in a happy voice if they want to sit in poop they will smile or laugh.

She seems to have good intentions at least.

The principle of teaching boys to assert their boundaries is a positive one.
