OMG, why, oh, why would a parent deny therapy for an autistic child? Please lord, give me the strength to fight for my son's rights. My son was diagnosed with Autism (high functioning) and Dyspraxia of Speech & Motor Skills on Friday. My ex forgot about it and stormed into the diagnostics room and literally took my son away. They had seen enough so they did manage to diagnose him though. They order Speech and Occupational Therapy. I want to take him, but their mother is refusing (wanting a 2nd opinion). I found 3 places that will evaluate him (thus a 2nd opinion) and offer him the therapy he needs. She says to take him on my time. The problem is that I only have them Thursday evenings for dinner and Friday thru Monday (every weekend). There are no places to offer this therapy in the evenings and weekends, so I'm at a bind. The divorce grants me equal rights all the way, including getting him independent medical treatment. She doesn't want me to pick him up on her time. Argh! WTH? Isn't my full child support enough to keep her at bay? So, now I'm stuck with the bill and the probably an upcoming legal battle this summer :(.

Sorry it it sounds like a rant :(. I'm really stressing over my son's well being and his mother unwillingness to help.
