I also don't like it, honestly. How about a color scheme and button design similar to http://www.reddit.com/r/science or/r/buddhism

And in the header, we could put pictures of famous MRAs like Warren Farrell and male discrimination statistics. Also incorporate the reddit bot maybe?

Maybe have a poll or discussion on this site about the design?

Generally okay, but too much empty space up top. Also, the horizontal bar with Hot New etc blends too much into the background -- maybe a darker blue with white text?

It's not bad but its not an improvement either. No colour, less contrast between nested comment in a conversation. The drop shadow text is awful. Still, its good that you're trying, I'd go for a slightly more 'friendly' tone.

i think the spacing could be tighter, if you take /r/askmen as an example of the perfect spacing, you can fit 3 submissions with their CSS in the space it takes for 2 for /r/MensRightsMeta

besides that i think it's ok, i certainly didn't think i needed changing (rabble rabble i hate change) but a new set of clothes is always a nice prospect. the sterile grey background seems a bit off, maybe the colour needs tweaking but beyond that i have no constructive criticism

Bring the darkness of the background up, as of now the page is pretty hard to distinguish between background and foreground.

I am a professional web designer, I love love love that you are going with a more METRO (see metro - design pattern language on wikipedia) however, the colors are too light.

The contrast between the post boxes and the background is too subtle, the men's rights logo should also be redesigned as a two tone design with no bezel/emboss. Also it should be smaller and amply padded in where it rests, as well as being centered.

Also the visited text color is too light as well.
