Uber always takes side with women. If a male driver is reported by a female driver, his account is suspended even if he appeals with his dashcam video. Now the passenger is a male so they sided with her.

Of course, I will start avoiding women drivers too. I do not know if what happened could have any kind of legal repercussions for him (I hope not). But I am not taking the risk.

Add another example to the list of things that women be trusted with. The worst part is that there are good women out there, but in order to protect themselves, men can't take any chances. Maybe Uber needs to put in the selection section the option to select a male or female driver. That way women have no excuses for "feeling unsafe" with the driver.

Not saying what she did was right but most Uber drivers hate stops with a passion. Men drivers included. He should’ve had the stop in the original request so only drivers who’s OK with stops will accept.

When you add a stop mid ride, this is what Uber drivers call bait and switch because most riders know most drivers won’t take you if you have a stop. Your friend may have knew this and hence why he didn’t add it to the original request.

Or simply get off at the school, and call another Uber when finish picking up.

It sucks but it is what it is…

I think everyone would be happier if you could choose the gender of the driver in the settings

Lots of women would feel way more comfortable to catch a midnight uber too.

In the United States, I avoid female uber drivers as well. But only because I don't use fucking uber. Or Doordash, or any of that "I'm too lazy to do this shit for myself" sort of thing.

Edit: This sub is shit lol. There's always been shit here, but now that's ALL I see. The new wave of red pillers only take it after popping a couple xanax.

Well it definitely sucks, that happened to your friend.

But male or female it is okay to report things if you feel unsafe. You said your friend was insistent, If he raised his voice or had aggressive posturing because he was stressing, and not quite thinking clearly, it may have been taken out of context.

Sometimes in customer service roles you have to disappoint the customer. In this case, it's possible the driver had another fair to pick up and being late for that would be detrimental. Or maybe they had their own personal, off the clock, appointment to get to.

It's our own responsibility to plan for our own days. The information on the stop should have been mentioned prior to service acceptance and then if the driver couldn't make the time it would have gone to someone else.

Plenty of ways to avoid disappointing situations aside from being gender biased.
