Well, even if we do create "female sperm" or allow human cloning, I don't think I'll ever be against a woman's choice to abort a fetus growing within her. What I object to is applying sexual discrimination to abortion of males (or females; see:China).

If the sexists advocate for aborting male fetuses simply on the basis of their sex then I would advocate for not telling them what sex the child is.

For as long as I've had an interest in well having political opinions I've kinda avoided the abortion issue.

Too polarizing and when I did look at the issue I couldn't help but feel it was one of those no right answer type of things.

Typically pro-choicers assert that because an unborn child is unable to survive outside the womb(technically untrue, human cloning has never been done though it has been attempted, but a life can be gestated outside a womb)it should be up to the woman whether to terminate or not. But you can't really ignore the 'but this could be a human life in only a matter of months' argument. The arbitrary decisions made by various authorities on what constitutes life in the womb, so many months, first heartbeat, etc seems...wrong. How can we possibly pin down when a life becomes a life in the womb, is it ever until it's born, or is it the second that the sperm penetrates the ovum.

Simply choosing some arbitrary detail of the gestation process and saying "this is when it's alive" is kind of morbid.

At the same time we have to consider the moral implications of deciding that abortion should be illegal/morally wrong. Does abortion prevent more suffering in the future than if the fetus is terminated?

I thought maybe by the end of writing this I could come to one solid conclusion yes or no...but I still can't.

I know I can't and won't ignore the fact that an unborn child is a form of life, not like independent and sentient life like you and me, but life, human life. I also can't ignore the suffering that abortion can prevent. If someone simply cannot raise a child, they cannot raise a child, nor is it right to force a woman to bring a child to term when she doesn't want to and because of abortion doesn't have to.

All that said Under the Goddess got one thing right, this "no uterus no opinion" non-sense is just that, typically put forth by man hating feminists who rejoice at the idea of living in a world where they can toss men away like trash into their trash can. What makes our species work is the fact that women need men and men need women, we are complementary and in the bigger picture we complete one another. These feminists, women, who rejoice in the obsolescence of men are nothing short of evil. It takes two to tango, it takes two to make a life, to say no man should have an opinion or any kind of say what so ever in the creation of a life when it took his aid to begin that process is simply wrong. The issue of abortion affects us all in the greater scheme of things, man and woman alike, to exclude half the population who are needed for this discussion to even exist is asinine.

I see those hand - rubbing misandrists as the mustache 'd villains they are...what I expect from them is to drool in glee at the possibility of ending men. It's that irrational thirst for blood that I'm counting on to deter most people.

I think the point could be re - worded to be more available to people not steeped in gender politics (as we are). My point is, if I show this to any of my friends and it takes more that 3 minutes to explain, it will not have impact.

And that's what we're after.

The idea of men's reproductive issues being addressed is critical (like when the HPV vaccine became available and the fact that many gynos now see men), but this comes across more women bashing than uplifting men and promoting the equal treatment of all.

It's a poorly thought out reaction to feminist behavior, in my opinion. Most people have never heard of the word parthenogenesis, let alone understand it.

Imo, if women create a female sperm, that's fine with me. I don't see it as "the end of men"...In fact, I see people with that attitude to be entirely sensationalist. Even if it became wildly popular, men would still adapt and find ways to live their lives.
