I'm a long time lurker/member of /r/OneY, and was recently referred here. This place is awesome, but I fear that we're beginning to fall prey to the same bullshit that overtook the feminists several years ago. The problem with both us and them is that we concentrate on the sustained and elevated rights of only our own gender. I believe we should focus more on the gender equality movement. Feminists all seem to want men to have no rights, and us MRA's all seem to want things to just turn women back into the submissive pseudo-humans they were in the 40's and 50's(just an observation, please don't scream at me for this). I have a lot of friends of all different genders, orientations, races, what have you, and nearly all groups that concentrate on the rights of their group fall victim to this premise. I whole-heartedly believe that equality is the way to go. If we can just focus on making culture and laws more fair and judging solely on action and personal qualities and not gender, race, religion, sexuality, etc. we can make this world a much better place.

EDIT: Okay, seriously. The point was to focus on equalism. The point is NOT to focus on a single line in my post. I'M NOT BEING JUDGMENTAL. I'M SUGGESTING A NEW PLAN OF ACTION. SERIOUSLY. It's not even the point! This happens every time. Any time someone posts something even mildly disagreeable on reddit, people focus on ONE FREAKING LINE and completely ignore the rest of the post. GET YOUR FUCKING SHIT TOGETHER AND ACT LIKE A GODDAMN MAN. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH SOMEONE, SAY IT. Don't cop out.
