Hello fellow redditors! I'm here with a simple request. I want to know more about MRA from actual members because the media bias is so painfully obvious it's sickening. Keep in mind that I'm not making any assumptions, I'm here to be educated and nothing else. I guess I'll start by explaining where I'm coming from. Personally I don't concider myself an MRA or a feminist for that matter because I see little sense in striving for equality between two genders while concerning oneself with only one of them, and I certainly do NOT think pretending that the others have all their rights makes anything better and this applies strongly to feminism aswell as MRA. Although I'll admit, MRA seems a bit more sound to me, less shouting '' Sexist, sexist '' at anyone who disagrees on the slightest issue. So you personally, do you think that women have straight up more rights than men or do you like me, think it's more complicated than that? That womens rights issues exist as well as mens? In some areas women are clearly advantaged and vice versa. There are problems specific to the genders and I think we should work to to stop that, and ignoring or trivializing them makes one no better than the feminists. I'll try and come up with more questions as we ( hopefully) go. And sorry about the mess, this is my first step away from lurkerhood, you see. And please be respectful, the last thing I want to do is to look at MRA in disgust the same way I do with feminism.
