Im leaning to we have equal rights on paper, but in practice it is a very different thing.

I voted for the first option but it is on the presumption that the term 'rights' pertains only to the legislative domain since it's objectively true that women enjoy more legal rights and protection whilst men have more legal liabilities in my country.

However, it is worth noting that legal rights are but only one aspect of gender equality. Other aspects include public policies, sociocultural norms and practices etc. It is virtually impossible to quantitate/qualitate every conceivable factors.

Doesn't this depend on where in the world you are? I would say overall men have alot more rights than women but where I live In would say it's the opposite.

In my opinion men and women have same rights (in my country) but female have privilege in many situation and are treated differently. And sad fact is, that people assume white/male discrimination is good, what leads to equality, but in reality it only leads to more hate and anger. EDIT: spelling

I've voted that women have more rights than men, but allow me to explain my reasoning.

Men can't be victims of domestic abuse or rape in some countries, and even when they are legally victims they are often downplayed or belittled and don't have many resources. There isn't even a single government funded men's shelter in NA.
Men don't have the right to vote unless they sign up for the male exclusive draft in the USA.
The UN has no branches dedicated to men. No men's rights, no getting men out of traditional roles, no nothing and is heavily biased against men.
Men will usually lose custody battles because of the bias of the judicial system.
Men currently do not have any reproductive rights in the USA nor Canada.

Y’all realize men have more rights than women right? Men don’t have to pay a “luxury” tax for products they need every month, men don’t have to worry about being raped or murdered at the rates women do because men do most of the raping and murdering to women. There has never been a female president. The wage gap is a real thing, especially for women of color who get paid even less than white women, who already get paid less than men. Women weren’t allowed to vote or go to school until way after men were, and in sports women aren’t taken as seriously. Women are constantly being sexualized by men, even as young at 10 years old when schools dress code them for having a tank top on during a hot day. On the radio and top 40 lists female artists are very underrepresented, and same in Hollywood where women don’t have nearly as many speaking roles as men. In schools, women are discouraged from taking STEM classes. When women get upset about anything, they’re asked if it’s “that time of month” which is insulting. Not to say these things don’t happen because unfortunately they do but men are raped, kidnapped, and murdered at much lower rates than women, and are far more likely to be the perpetrator. In most cases of men raping women, the woman gets called a liar and isn’t believed while the rapist doesn’t face any consequences. And I could go on. I cannot believe so many people don’t get that men have rights and women trying to be seen as equals makes men think that they’re suddenly being oppressed or lacking in rights.
