I'm suprised I haven't seen this on here yet. This radio host Mike Francesca doesn't seem to think that men need or should get paternity leave. Doesn't seem to think that men "do anything" in the first couple days when their CHILDREN have just been born.

Some choice comments

"I don't know why you need three days off, I'm going to be honest. You see the birth and you get back. What do you do in the first couple days? Maybe you take care of the other kids. Well, you gotta have someone to do that if you're a Major League Baseball player. I'm sorry, but you do … Your wife doesn't need your help the first couple days, you know that."

This flies DIRECTLY into the face of what "mens rights" is supposed to be about. It makes me mad that this hasn't been brought up here. I hope that it isn't because there's no women involved in this situation and thus we don't get to rant and roar against women ... this is MEN who are against MENS rights to be on paternity leave.

here is the link for more, including the audio clip. it's TRULY disgusting. he's basically saying that fathers have no role in taking care of their newborn and that they have "nothing to do" in the first few days while the babies have just come into the world. he even scoffs at the idea of "sitting and holding your wife's hand", as if supporting your spouse after a harrowing thing such as CHILD BIRTH isn't valid.
