Subreddits are actively engaged in a conflict at present because reddit refuses to allow privacy in user settings.

If a user posts in a subreddit, other subreddits will scrape that users non-private history and then auto ban them for participation in other subreddits.

This practice violates rule 1 of reddit, "Remember the human", but also fundamentally breaks the site and violates the moderator guidelines: every time this happens, I report this under Reddit's harassment policy, as should you all.

As well as emailing the administration of the site.

We know other subreddits have been disciplined for doing this, but this practice is still pervasive on this site. Imagine the absolute backlash a sub would receive for ostracising users for posting in women's right subs and you might get the idea.

Using a users history as a tool to censor them for precrime is akin to banning a basket ball player from playing football because of all his experience with "handball" which is against the rules of football. It's ridiculous, as if people cannot compartmentalise that different subs have different rules of engagement and discourse. Reddit needs to do something about this before the entire site becomes unusable for normal folks.

Subreddits like this shouldn't need to post a warning that other subs will ban users for speaking up in a given sub.

Lets suppose a user who posted in this sub is reformed in the way that these folks claim to want, the user is still banned so they are forcibly entrenched, I don't see how this is helping, if anything it is hurting them.

Further to this, I can't think of a single work of fiction or instance in reality where a person starts a conversation with: "Your kind isn't welcome here" that hasn't immediately indicated villainy.
