Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster.
I've read through a lot of the material here, and I agree with a good amount of it.
About myself and my beliefs:
I'm 28 and looking to make a permanent commitment to a girl I love. I was going to marry her, but I have come to the conclusion that marriage, as an institution, is a bad idea for me.
There are various benefits, to be sure, but most of them are trivial or will not benefit me in almost any way. (It is a partnership, but why would I commit to something optional that does not benefit me in any meaningful way?)
Most rights that would be given to my wife can just as easily be given by a will and extra days off, lower insurance rates and other fairly minor benefits are not worth the cost of marriage and a potential divorce. (Even if there is no wedding ceremony and we pay $100 for the certificate, drafting a prenuptial agreement is costly)
As for tax benefits, this mostly applies with disparate incomes. Since we have similar jobs in similar fields, this will not be the case. (this is not a great source, but it references a study)
There are simply too many risks (alimony, property distribution, etc) for me to want marriage.
Given these and other reasons, I have convinced her into what is essentially cohabitation.
We will eventually want children, and I'm still debating how to handle the legal issues involved.
My goal in this venture is to avoid as many retarded laws that could potentially screw me over. There are apparently biased marriage, alimony and parental rights laws that suck for men.
I can avoid most marriage related laws, but I cannot make (almost) any legal agreements about a child that is not born yet.
My questions to you guys:
How do I get her to agree to a paternity test without a big fight?
You can argue away marriage fairly easily, but paternity comes down to whether I trust her or not. I can't find a good way to bring this up tactfully. (For anyone that asks, I do trust her. I wouldn't be committing to her if I didn't. The point is that retarded laws exist, I don't want any part in the way the state chooses to handle paternity, and a one-time cost of $100 or so is much safer to me than a 6% chance of raising and paying for a child that is not mine)
How do you make game theory using friends that aren't complete assholes?
I am very new to 'game'. I can't argue with the results; the relationship is much better. However, one of the tenets is to make friends with others that use game theory. I can't seem to find a single friend-worthy guy. Now, maybe I just suck at meeting people, but I haven't found a single person who does who isn't a pretty big douche. I don't mean cocky or 'alpha', I mean someone that doesn't oh, say...
steal a girl's wallet intentionally pick a fight call a girl a colossal bitch for rejecting him etc.
Where/how do I find people that don't do this?

This is the biggest load of horseshit I've ever seen. Yes, clearly there is no line between virgin and "cheating skank".

Really? You don't see anything wrong with that study? Maybe it didn't control for religiosity? Those who are virgins till they marry are much more likely to be highly religious, and stay in miserable marriages. Today you learned!
Yes, if someone has sex with one previous partner, she is a slut unworthy of a relationship. What a horrible thing for you to say.
EDIT: You have some very paradoxical views on women. You support PUA and "Game" culture, which is all about getting women to sleep with you. However, if a woman does sleep with you, she is somehow worse off, and is a "slut"? Basically, women should sleep with men, but if they do, they are sluts. Pretty strange view of gender relations.

Yeah, I think you're pretty much wrong on this one. Hopefully one day you find your ~perfect virgin flower~, and hopefully someday you'll crack a statistics book and learn how to actually interpret studies.
The simple fact is, you have no proof that a being in a relationship with a virgin is any better than being in a relationship with someone who has had other partners. So basically, put up or shut up.

Well, as long as you think your right, because no one else does :)
EDIT: You misinterpreted your stats, as countless others in this very forum have explained to you. If you won't listen to them, however, I doubt you'll suddenly understand it if I go through it again.

You cannot necessarily just combine two unrelated studies and use it to confirm thingsarebad's hypothesis. Yes, catholics as a whole may have the same divorce rate as atheists, but they are also including the "cafeteria catholics", who claim they are religious but only attend church on holidays. It seems that the researcher just asked what religion the subject fell into, and there is simply no measure for the degree of religiosity. Keep in mind that, women who remain virgins until they marry, are more likely to be on the very high end of the religiosity scale.
Most importantly, the women who remain virgins until they marry are more likely to view marriage differently that women who have had previous partners, even if they are not religious These women have "saved themselves" for their partner, and are going to take marriage much more seriously. They are more likely to stay in a terrible marriage than women who have had previous partners.
What thingsarebad would need to prove his point is a study which controls for confounding variables, such as religiosity and attitudes towards marriage. Without that, he's assuming correlation equals causation.
Not only that, he's making the error of assuming that divorce is the same as infidelity. In fact only 20% of divorces are due to infidelity and of those infidelities, husbands cheat as much as wives. So, there is no way he can logically correlate "this couple got a divorce" with "the wife was a cheating slut". He's ignoring all of the confounds in his study, and incorrectly correlating "divorce" with "infidelity", in order to justify his insane view that all women with previous partners are worthless sluts.
